My (2 mo. old) baby loves to cuddle and be held, but:
1. the average temp this summer has been about 98*
2. sometimes the laundry just has to get done!
This product is great for both of us. Unlike wraps it is cool enough to wear her for a while, even in summer. We are both comfortable - she "sits" in it (on her butt, not supported from the crotch), and for me the waist belt holds most of her weight so my back is fine and my arms are relieved. It was especially great to keep her close through crowded airports on a recent trip. Finally, it is very easy to put her down without waking her up if (when!) she falls asleep.

I love this carrier, I wasn't going to purchase one at first but my son is 7 weeks now and I realized having my stroller all the time is a hassle . I wasn't sure if I should order the ergo or a Bjorne but after reading reviews and seeing the video I fell inmlove. The galaxy grey looks so stylish and it fits great ! My baby loves it and feels so secure , it's a bit pricey but I feel there is no price on comfort and safety

The Ergo is amazing!! I have been in several bad car accidents and have a very bad back... The Ergo puts all of babys weight on your hips not on your back! It also puts baby in an ergonomically correct sitting position. I look at babies in some of these other carriers and their poor little legs and hips look so uncomfortable! I am able to get my daughter in all on my own too! The ergo was the only way we were able to get our daughter to nap when we running errands. I can't say enough good things about this carrier!! I even have a friend that has 2 and uses both with her twins and has a very easy time carrying both!

This product helps me out a lot especially because I have a 4-year old daughter. I use it to go for walks and when I head to the store to pick something quick. It's comfortable and doesn't hurt your back.

The only thing is, takes a while to get baby in it. Otherwise, holds baby well.

Was about to return product, soley on price point. Wore it for the first time out to a picnic with 6 week old son...he slept so peaceful and sound. He hever made a peep...I was comfortable and able to still interact with my 4 year-old. Needless to say it is a keeper :-)

This is amazing! Yes it is expensive but don't even waste your money on the cheapies! I had a cheapy but I felt like the way son's legs were hanging were very disturbing so I hardly used yet he is high needs and always needs to be held so getting this has been a life saver, he is comfortable, I am comfortable and it's super cute! Plus I later learned that the other styles where the legs are hanging can lead to hip dysplasia so I guess it was my mohter's intuition telling me not to use the other one!

I have had my moby since LO was born and use it all the time. Now that he's 11 months old and getting heavier I was looking for a carrier that I could use with him on my back. I chose the ergo for it's great review and overall have liked the product so far. It's great for when I want him on my back but I've already reverted to using my moby most of the time. The moby wrap is just more comfortable for me and doesn't put as much strain on my shoulders.

Just started using this with my 3.5-month-old, who is just about 12 lbs. She seems comfortable and secure and it is comfortable for me. We didn't bother with the infant insert and just waited until she was at the 12 lb. mark and her legs were long enough to comfortably straddle my waist. My husband, who is slimmer than me, also finds this comfortable. We are both accustomed to big travelling backpacks which have the hip strap and so this is a natural carrier for us to use, and we do not find it complicated to adjust. The only reason for 4 stars is that our daughter really likes to look out and be involved in everything when she is not sleeping, and for a small baby that is difficult (it's great for putting her to sleep though, by keeping her close and with the hood to minimize light and other distractions). As she gets older we hope she will enjoy it more while awake because her head will be above the level of the carrier and she will have more freedom to look around.

i think this is the most versatile carrier on the market! it was a bit on the expensive side, but we have used it so much, it has most definitely paid for itself. prior to purchasing ergo, we used a wrap, great for younger babies, but it was time to move on. it has a slight learning curve, but after watching some online videos i got the hang of it. if you are feeling the weight in your back, something is not right; it should be 'heavy' around your hip/waist area. another great thing i learned from those videos is how to nurse my baby; you drop it down a bit and use the sun/rain cover to hide baby's head and no one knows what you're doing in there. no more crying baby at the mall! they also have nice customer service. the black waist strap broke off on ours and they sent a brand new one to me (i just had to send a picture of the broken area) it does not allow you to face a baby forward, but if you look into it, front facing carriers are bad for baby's growing spine and they cannot turn away from overstimulation. one last note, if you are looking into buying the insert along with the ergo, try it without the insert first. i was going to purchase both and it turned out i didn't even need it.
