Purchased this carrier when my son was about 9-10mos old, since the MOBY wrap hurt my back and he seemed uncomfortable in it. I also needed a carrier for use during travel - at the airports, etc. I am honestly very glad I purchased this product. My son is now almost 15 months old, about 25lbs, and I can still carry him up front without back pain! I barely feel him on me when I place him on my back. Will be using this for travel over next few months! A must-buy! Material is very sturdy; haven't had to wash it yet (purchased a darker color, so I spot-clean). Only complaint is difficulty getting child into back position (and even front position for inexperienced users) without help of spouse. My son loves to sit in it, so I imagine it's comfortable. Enjoy!

This is the second Ergo I have bought and I feel the quality has gone down drastically. I returned it this time. I liked my first carrier, but now the price is up and quality down.

I took the baby carrier with me on a hike to carry around my little bundle of joy. At first, I carried her on the front while she took a nap. My hips started to hurt a little but I am sure that is from lack of exercise. After she took her nap, I moved her to the back position where she seemed to enjoy taking in the scenery. I am surprised that my back and sides and front did not hurt the next day after toting her up the mountain.

My only product suggestion is making the "front position" more compatible when it comes to allowing the child to look at you or out to see everything infront of it.

This product is a lifesaver. I couldn't survive without it. I have been using this for almost a month now since my son was 2 and a half months (12.5 lbs) and he just takes his pacifier and falls alseep!! I love that I can use this all the way up to 45 lbs. It's not really worth buying any of the others - it's totally worth spending the money to buy this, just a better investment overall. I am a person constantly on the go, I like to do things and keep busy so something like this was a necessity and has come in very handy...even for getting chores done around the house!

Wow!! I had heard the hype and knew that I would get one of these but I didn't realize how easy & important it would be. I am a first time mom to a one month old and can't believe I waited this long to get one! I now make dinner, wash dishes, do laundry, etc. all with my little guy right on my chest. It is so easy to get on by yourself, too!!! Two clicks and you're done. I also use the infant insert and it's perfect! Ironically I haven't taken it out of the house yet but I know that it will be perfect- especially in cities like NYC when strollers are a pain in the butt. Highly, highly recommend!

I have a 17 month old and another on the way. I am thrilled with this carrier. My older daughter loves it and I know my younger daughter will love it too (I am registered for the organic heart2heart insert for her)! Very soft and I love how versatile it is!

We like this carrier so much we actually have TWO of them! Compared to some of the other wraps and carriers we've tried, this one is super easy to use. More importantly, our girls love it. It works great for fussy times - I can strap one of the girls to me and still have hands free to tend to other things around the house. Our girls are only three months old right now, but I look forward to using this carrier for a long time to come.
Why we like it:
1) Easy to get on by yourself
2) Feels secure - infant insert works great
3) Multiple way to carry your child (front, side, back)
4) No back discomfort - super comfortable
5) Husband also likes and uses this carrier
6) Super soft and washes easily and nicely

I love this product! I was about to register for a different carrier when my friend recommended this product instead. My friend mentioned that it had great back support and it was very comfortable. She was not lying! My baby loves the Ergo from when he was born until now at 7 months. My baby feels well supported and comfortable at all times. I also love the close contact you get to share with your baby.It's also perfect for men. My husband is 6 "4" and he is able to strap the Ergo on and carry our son. Great product and very well made.

A good friend recommended this product because of the support at the hips instead of the sacrum, like other carriers. I love how easy it is to get my baby (4 months old) in the carrier. The material is very soft and my baby loves it. I wish I bought the accessory for the teething baby because he is always chewing on the strap. The only problem with the carrier, was after 1-2 uses, the snap for the head cover came off. [...]

I love my Ergo. As a busy mom of 3, it is a great way to keep the baby happy and in a safe place while doing things around the house and with the other kids. I initially tried the Performance version and the straps were a bit uncomfortable- its possible that I did not have the settings right. I returned it and ordered the Organic Cotton carrier. It was comfortable from the moment I put it on. I highly recommend it- it is definitely a step up from the baby bjourn!
