Next to the travel system, this is the best baby product we got! We got it in the galaxy gray colour, which looks like it's not available anymore, so I'll post this here. We use our ergo all the time! When nothing else would soothe our little man, putting him in this and walking the dogs around the block would put him to sleep for 30 min to an hour. We used to joke the infant insert must have been lined with a sedative, it worked so fast. Even now, when he's out of the insert, it's fantastic. We've used it at the zoo, at the beach, while cooking, at the airport, and while shopping (so I can push a cart instead of wrangling a stroller and a cart). He loves it, and while he stays more alert longer in it now, he still likes to nap in it and it still soothes him when nothing else seems to work. I always make sure I have the ergo with me when I go out and would definitely say this is a must have for any new parent! (I've only used the front carry, not the side or back yet)

Love. Love. Love. Really, this is such a great invention! Once my baby got too big for a sling, I started using this (you have to use the newborn insert for babies under 4-5 months), and I wish I would have started using it earlier. For anyone into attachment parenting or who has a baby that doesn't ever want to be put down, this is a lifesaver! It is warm and snug for baby and allows him/her to be close to mama but mama can have 2 hands free! My baby falls asleep often in this, so it's great for babies who don't like to lay down for naps :0) It gives amazing back support (one of the pros over the Baby Bjorn I've heard)- I vacuum, mop, do laundry, cook, and take my 2 large dogs for walks using this and somehow my back is never sore. Oh and you can nurse the baby if you get the positioning just right! I walk through a stores while breastfeeding and no one knows! Only drawback is that you can't put baby facing forward, but I still HIGHYLY RECOMMEND.

I was looking for a carrier with a higher weight limit since my 6mo old is in the 95% for ht and wt. Most carriers max at 25-30lbs. This carrier is VERY comfortable and easy to use (video on youtube). My son will actually nap in it. It's the only other place he will sleep besides his crib. It has been a life saver!

I LOVE this item! It's super comfortable, durable, and my son loves it, too! It's expensive, but it's worth every penny.

Our infant carseat doesn't sit on the cart like others do, so when I trek to the grocery store, this always comes with us! My son (almost three months, we use the infant insert) is always content the entire trip, and I am too. The carrier has a zip pocket, which I didn't realize, and I always stash my phone, wallet and car keys in there, so I can turn my back on the cart with no worries!

Some people say that this is difficult to use alone, but my husband is in the military and usually deployed, so I typically get my son into the Ergo alone, and never have a problem, though it did take practise. People also say that it's hot, and the fabric is heavy, but it seems like any carrier that holds a baby against your body would be hot, right?

Also, it's one of the only carriers I could find that was ergonomically correct for both you and your baby. Again, worth EVERY penny! I recommend this carrier to all of my friends.

bought this because it was recommended by two friends, and found it to be very bulky, hot for baby, and uncomfortable. bought the baby bjorn after using the Ergo for a while, and prefer the bjorn. if you're stuck between the two, i recommend the bjorn for infants. no insert necessary and much cooler temp for baby. haven't tried ergo in other positions for larger baby.

The ergo compared to other brands proves to be safer for children in preventing hip displatia. I guess the other brands make your child sit in a way that the hips and legs are spread and over time can be painful and grow incorrectly. The ergo makes child sit back, more on their buttocks and is thus safer for legs etc. That being said, that was the reason we splurged and bought the more expensive brand Anyway, this has been a life saver for us. Our daughter was colicky and this was the only thing that kept her upright and comfortable and kept her from crying. She was able to be close to us and immediately would fall asleep. It worked wonders! I use it grocery shopping, on walks and around the house to get things done. You definitely have to buy the newborn insert though if you plan to use it for your newborn; newborns will simply be too small to fit in the ergo alone without the insert. Be warned though, the material is extremely heavy and durable which is awesome, however it is so stinking hot. Baby and I went shopping and about an hour in baby was overheating and so so hot. Now this experience was with the newborn insert in so hopefully with the insert taken out it won't be so hot. I would definitely say this is one item you will want to splurge on..

I absolutely LOVE my Ergobaby carrier. After reading a lot of reviews, I decided that it was the perfect carrier for me. After owning a different carrier and a sling, I was worried that I'd use it once and put it up like the others. After wearing it once, I wanted to wear it all the time. My daughter loves it (She's 16 months old and around 19lbs) she sleeps in it, and it's so easy to get her into it by myself. I would definitely buy this carrier and would 100% recommend a friend to buy one.

I got the Ergobaby before a trip to Disneyland I have a 2 year old and a 7 month old and my old carrier had begun to give me a back ache when I began to look for a new carrier I came upon the Ergo and I decided to get it sure enough it was the best purchase ever!!! While at Disneyland I carried my infant in it and also my toddler it was amazing and I had no back pain what so ever!!!

This carrier has been great. I originally registered for it but did not receive it at my shower. I suspect that was because it was not available in the store, only online. So I went ahead and bought it myself since my little man is now almost 8 weeks old. And I've loved using it. Makes it possible for me to do other things around my house on those days that he doesn't want to be put down. And I really enjoy having him so close to me. The only problem I've found is that there really isn't the head support for newborn and I'm always having to use one of my hands to protect his head/neck. But even so, it's still easier than trying to hold him while multitasking in the kitchen and around the house.

My mom bought this baby carrier for her sixth child because the one she had previously owned caused a ton of strain on her back. This thing is a life saver. It is so easy to use and comfortable that even my 10 year old sister can use it. My favorite thing about this carrier is the option to put the baby on your back. It is so useful and way more balanced then if they were on your front. I can't find anything to complain about it.
