These were indispensable for the first few weeks with our baby. I'm terrible at swaddling with a blanket. When your baby is crying, and you're dead tired, you really don't want to mess around with that. With these, you pop the baby in them with no fuss. One thing I recommend is to have at least four, and stick with the organic cotton. We bought a couple of the conventional cotton ones (same brand) and they were not as soft or stretchy, and for some reason they ran smaller. Our baby outgrew those at about 8 lbs. She's at 9.5 lbs now and these should still fit a while longer (14 lbs is a fantasy though).

My husband and I have used the thicker weight and these more lightweight cotton swaddles with more than one of our babies. They hold up great - have been loaned out to friends and come back to us with life in them still. They are super easy to use! As a new dad, my husband had never been around babies and was often defaulting to me when a baby needed consoling. When he learned how easy these were to use, he started wanting to help out more.

These are on my "tried and true" baby gear list, and a favorite thing to gift to new moms.

Ok, seriously these things saved me and my husband a few times.I'm all about attachment parenting, but sometimes nothing would calm our baby except swaddling her. It was like a switch was flipped and she would calm down and before long she would drift off to sleep. These are very fast and easy to use, easy to get nice and tight, way simpler than trying to swaddle with a flat cloth. If you don't like the idea of swaddling, just get them for emergency backup and you won't regret it!!!

Every night I give my daughter a new diaper, put her in her swaddle,and then give her a bottle..she sleeps for hours, and I attribute that to the swaddle..as soon as she is in it her eyes start getting heavy...there have been some nights where we didn't put her in the swaddle and she was up every few hours

I love how easy these are to use. My son sleeps so well with these blankets! He started to use them at about 6 weeks old, and I definitely should have been using them from the day he was born. Best gift I received. I tried the halo swaddle blanket first and it was awful; if my son fell asleep before putting him in the halo it was guaranteed he would wake up trying to put the blanket on him. Also, the way these are made no matter how much he moves at night his arms or hands don't come out. These are a must have for a baby to sleep well, right from the start.
