Personally, I'm not much for the "super deformed" look. Vader's head is nearly the same size of the rest of his body, and his limbs are nearly non-existent.

That said, it is well-made. The detail on the helmet is great, with several different materials used to give it a proper look and texture. The cape is held on with an elastic band, allowing it to be repositioned or removed. The belt and vest are stitched on in the back, but clearly a different layer in the front.

Pressing the chest plate cycles between three brief but good quality sound bytes: Vader's breathing, "I am your father," and "The Force is strong with this one."

A slit in the back (closed by velcro and covered by the cape and vest) opens to allow you to access the battery compartment: a small plastic tube about the size of a AA battery. However, it's not easy to pull it out. (Not that you can pull it that far - it's stitched in fairly tightly.) Once you do, you'll have to remove a tiny screw to get it open. And then you'll need thee AG-13 (or compatible) batteries, which are neither as cheap nor as easy to find as AA or AAA. And getting the battery compartment back in is even harder than pulling it out. Fortunately, you shouldn't have to change the batteries too often.

For me, it's perfect. My nephew asked me to make him a custom Vader plushie. I wanted to make it good without cheating too much. I love the head and the voice module. So now I just have to see if I can remake the body to order, and without too big a drop in quality.
