The snare drum broke in a week!!!

Santa brought this product for my 6 year old boy. He was so excited and played it off and on all Christmas day and night. Then the next day, the fiberglass shaft broke on the snare drum, then the tap cymbals foot pedal broke and couldn't be put back together. He and I were so disappointed.

i received the set as a gift and was very happy good starter kit. this is not a complete set it should have 3 toms 1 floor 2 racks. if u want 2 b a prof get a COMPLETE drum set

We bought this for my sons fourth birthday! He is very much into music and we finally caved in after he asked for a set. This is perfect! Although he can't really hit the bass drum medal (legs are too short!) he plays the rest of it really well. He absolutely loves this set and it was very easy to assemble - took a little under 30 minutes. This set is highly reccommended! I would reccommend getting the stool that is sold seperately

Bought as a Christmas gift for my youngest. Husband set them up and they look wonderful. I just need to know how to tune them. We have a tuning torque but not sure what numbers to set the torque for each drum.

first off let me say that I am a professional drummer and play on a regular basis. That said, here's my review...I found most of this kit (kick drum, mounted tom, floor tom, h.h.stand with h.hats, and cymbal stand with cymbal ) at my local [...] store a couple weeks back for $30. I bought it because I've always wanted a smaller "jazz kit" so I paid the $30. I quickly threw away the cymbals...garbage, and set aside the stands. I removed the cheap heads off the kick drum and bought good ones (about $100 give or take ) and left the cheapos on the toms. with some muffling added to the underside of the batter heads on the toms, and some quick tuning, I actually got them sounding pretty darn good, although I don't plan on keeping these heads on for too long. It sounds so good I'll start playing out with it at the next show and might even end up being my main kit (replacing my loved mid 80's Pearl kit)I can't say how the hardware will hold up or how the rest of the kit is, but I think it would make a great beginner kit and maybe if you move on to a more "professional" kit, I would say this would still be worth holding on to. And don't sweat the cheap heads... all drum kits under $1000 come with cheap heads. just bite the bullet and get new ones asap. Even at retail price, I think it's more than worth the money... just plan on ugrading as things wear out or break.
