For my baby boy whose mom and dad were both musically gifted, I bought this for his first birthday, and he greatly enjoys this. He loves the lights, the music and I think he literally just loves banging around on the drum. He gets a little annoyed when mommy tries to "show him how to play" but overall he couldn't be happier with this toy. It offers about 12 or so different little songs to play along with and it can be in english or spanish.

We bought this for our grandson's third birthday. It does several different things. Not only is it a drum but it plays music and has lights that you can play games with. His five year old brother likes it, too.

My son is 11 months and loves this drum. It is easy to beat on and it has bright colors and vibrant sounds. It also has a spanish option, which I appreciate for future learning. I think this is a great toy!

We have owned this toy since my baby was around 6 months old and shes never cared to play with it for longer than a couple of minutes. She loves to hit the drum and watch the colors light up, but once the music starts playing she just turns it over and then throws it aside. I've noticed from a couple of reviews that 1 year olds seem to enjoy this toy, so maybe she will grow into it soon. On a more positive side, I think it's great that it plays music in English and Spanish. The songs are delightful and full of cheer as well.

My daughter loves this drum. She loves listening to the music and will bring me the toy to turn on for her. SHe is also learning to hit the drum to make music. My only complaint is I wish there were more songs to choose from.

I got this drum for my baby boy when he was about 7 months old. It held his attention for less than a minute. Now that he's 1, he still doesn't play with it much. The problem is that the sound of the drum can hardly be heard because the backround music is way too loud in comparison. Even if you turn up the volume, the backround noise gets louder and the actual drum sound is still too low. There is no setting that you can only hear the drumming noise without the music. I think this toy is pretty much a waste. Mostly my son just flips this over to look for the speaker where the sound is coming from.

We love this drum! My nephew came to visit and brought his Learn and Groove Drum and after seeing my 10 month old son play with it, I knew we needed one.

I love all things Leap Frog and this is no exception. A quality, engaging toy that gets used every day. My son quickly picked up on how to turn it on (hitting the drum or pressing the star on the side) and loves making it sing. I definitely enjoy the sound volume selector (off, low, high) and the multiple song settings and english/spanish language selections keep it interesting. No one wants to hear the same song over and over and over. At least with this toy, you get a choice of three songs in two languages. :)

My son loved this drum from the day I bought it- he loves tapping on it and rocking to the music- but its VERY disappointing that only after 6 months the sound started getting stuck and freezing. It's very disappointing for a leap frog product which hasn't been used roughly at all, or dropped etc. However, since my son loves it I am going to be buying another one but will get the warranty if its for a year or more.
GET THE WARRANTY!
