Used this with the ERGObaby carrier and found it good for my infant (now 14 lbs). Keeps him properly positioned, helps him sit upright, and is nicely snug enough so baby stays put. Easy to use with the carrier, and very simple to place baby into the insert and then into the carrier. Love it!

I have 3 month old boy, who loves to be carried, I thought, why not give it a try. As it turns out,the baby is too big for the insert and too small for the carrier, he gets hot quickly, his legs are too wide open. When carried sideways, the straps get in his view, and he gets uncomfortable as well as I do. Too much money for what it is intended for. Had it for a week, going back to return it today.

The ERGO is a solid carrier, and this insert is also well-made. There are too many drawbacks, though. I have a summer baby, so she's hot in it. When I take her out after about an hour of use she's very hot and sweaty. Her little feet always seem so smashed to me. Once I found little toe prints on her legs due to the froggy position they recommend for younger babies. The snap comes undone pretty easily and I only use it to keep the insert folded so that I can get it on. Once it's on I undo the snap to give my baby some room. The instructions are also vague. They emphasize not putting baby in the wrong position, but don't offer much in the way of demonstrating what the correct position should look like. My baby is usually slumped over no matter what I do. On the plus side, it tends to make my baby feel swaddled or something because she falls asleep pretty quickly, even though she protests when I put her into it.

It's difficult to KEEP the baby in it, and keep her butt from sliding out of it, so I can put her in the carrier. The snap doesn't stay closed, no matter how loose I have it on her. She was barely three months (its supposed to be used from birth to six months)old. Its hard to say how to position their feet, too. Directions could be a little better.

This is great if you plan to carry your newborn alot and live in a cold climate. It is very cushiony and supportive, but it is also very hot. It makes my daughter and I sweat. It is quickly outgrown as well.

This product slides into the ergo baby carrier. I got the infant insert because my baby loves to be walked around and my arms needed a break. Honestly he loves the carrier and so do I, the only downfall is it's hot in tx and the insert is thick and padded. He could easily overheat if I wasn't careful. I put him in a diaper only typically on a hot day( keeping the time in carrier short) and he still gets s little sweaty but no complaints from him. Overall I hate to have to use it because of the heat factor but obviously it's needed to use this product but ultimately wouldn't prevent me from purchasing the carrier. I can't wait till he grows out of the insert because I love this carrier so much.

I got the insert for my baby shower, but my baby never it into it. I would recommend holding off on buying it until your baby is born, [...] Love the carrier though!

I love the infant insert for the Ergo baby carrier. Baby (1 month) loves to be cuddled up and carried around. The insert is so easy to use! The weather has been cool and the insert keeps Baby warm and supported. I'm a little concerned that this may cause Baby to get too warm in the next few summer months ... we'll have to wait and see.

I have used and loved the ergo with my two older children, but never had the infant insert until now with my third child. It is wonderful to finally be able to use the carrier with my newborn. She is so comfortable and well positioned in the carrier. It is SO easy to use the insert with the carrier. Love this carrier and now I love it more!

Worked great with my Ergo Baby carrier. Easy to use and kid-o seems to think it is quite comfortable. My only complaints would be cost, as it is expensive when you factor in the carrier and the strap that holds the baby in. The little tightening mechanism that snugs baby close doesn't hold well. Minor complaint, however.
