We bought it for my son's 1s birthday and took our time putting it together. I put it together this weekend and it took me all of 15-20 mins to put it together by myself (no husband around) while my son was trying to run away with various parts and trying to sit on the bike before it was put together. So yes, it is easy to assemble. I didn't get the instruction #14 where it shows the front wheel two arrows and a big click. But the trike is sturdy and my son (and we) loves it. [...]Wish we had bought it at 10months. He could have used it then. The baby insert looks sturdy and I know my son would have loved it. But then first time parents can't plan it all. ( I bought that separately)Steering was a bit tough/hard to steer on the first round we took (might be that I don't have that much strength). I had to keep correcting myself.

Nice safety features for baby as the grow. Handles so easily over any common street terrain, also the handle makes it very easy to turn. My daughter LOVES this trike and is obsessed with it. I've sometimes preferred it to her umbrella stroller for a quick trip to the store, for example.

We bought this tricycle for my 15 month old. It has all the same features as the more expensive ones (except a sunshade). This tricycle will grow with him. If i had to list a con about this tricycle it would be the handle. We would have prefered a stroller type handle to push with instead of a small handle but we willl only be using the handle for one summer. Next summer he will be peddling on his own. Great tricycle!!

My son loves his Smart Trike. He often asks to ride, even in the house. He enjoys putting toys in the basket and playing with the wheels. I like that the handle actually allows you to steer and guide the trike. It was easy to put together and sturdy. I think he will enjoy the trike for the next couple of years.
