Edward "Whitey" Ford's control and precision as pitcher of the New York Yankees is what led team manager Casey Stengel to refer to him as the "money pitcher. The eight-time All-Star won 10 of his 22 World Series appearances, the most pitcher appearances ever, and earned the Cy Young Award in 1961. "The Chairman of the Board," a nickname given to him for confidence and intelligence on the mound, was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974. This black and white 8x10 photograph of him during his farewell speech at Yankee Stadium has been hand signed by Whitey Ford. A Steiner Sports Certificate of Authenticity is included.
