I have been using a regular Jansport backpack for my twins since they were born 7 months ago. My mom picked this out and bought it for me because she found reviews that said it had lots of room. Boy were they wrong! I couldn't get even half the things in this bag that fit in my regular Jansport bookbag. By the time I put in half a dozen diapers, wipes, a change of clothes, burpies, and a few travel bottles, I didn't even have room for a lightweight blanket or toys - all that stuff fits easily in my Jansport bag with room to spare. Sure, this has insulated compartments, but what good does that do me if I can't get all my other stuff in there? Maybe if I just had one baby this bag would be awesome, but for infant twins, it's no where NEAR big enough.

I researched all sorts of baby diaper backpacks and thought this one would be the winner. It is an okay bag but now I wish I had kept the tags and paperwork to return it. The Lap top pocket is barely big enough to hold a laptop and if you do carry a lap top, there is no room for a changing pad (you have to choose one or the other and I would rather the changing pad). There is no diaper specific pockets or even enough inside pockets to separate your things. Also, there are no stroller straps to attach to your stroller or shopping cart for when you'd like to put your bag down. The big built in cooler is nice, but since most people just carry a few snacks for their children and not a six pack of cans, it makes for much less storage in the main backpack and makes the backpack top heavy. Being a mom of two, I wanted a bigger bag than my over the shoulder diaper bag (when I only had one child)since I would have more neccessities and unfortunately because the cooler takes up the whole bottom of the bag, there is actually less room for storage than my smaller bag. I can only fit a couple extra outfits and something else small in the main compartment. If you don't use the dvd player pocket, you can fit a wallet or something in it. It also has no pacifier holder. The two extra side pockets could be slightly bigger. The material seems to be durable so far and it is a nice looking, sporty bag. It has served it's purpose. All in all, I would recommend a more diaper gear friendly bag to others with more main storage space. For being a diaper backpack, the Alpha Sherpa doesn't have all their bases covered.
