Product Description

Dr. Browns Glass Bottle 2 pack features a patented two-piece internal vent system that works unlike any other bottle design. The vent system fully vents our bottle for vacuum-free feeding, which we call positive-pressure flow, similar to breastfeeding. As the baby feeds, air is channeled from the nipple collar through the vent system, bypassing the breastmilk or formula, to the back of the bottle. Air never mixes with the breastmilk or formula which minimizes oxidation and helps maintain essential nutrients like vitamins C, A and E. Babies feed more comfortably because the vent system allows them to nurse without fighting the negative effects of a vacuum or the discomfort of ingesting air bubbles. This helps to reduce feeding problems like colic, spit-up, burping, and gas. The breastmilk or formula flows freely, without nipple collapse. Contains two 4oz glass bottles.

My husband, Nanny & I love this bottle. The best part is the Dr. Brown's premature size nipple. Our lactation consultant said the "p" nipples are the closest thing to the flow when he breast feeds. We used "p" for the 1st 6months (if babies who breastfeed are given a larger size/flow nipple, they may refuse mom and prefer the larger flow nipple (because it is easier for them).
I don't have to worry about plastic leaching chemicals. They are super hardy & the size is appropriate (I prefer to fill only to 4oz and give my son a mini break so it is similar to my breastfeeding pace).

This is a good product if you want glass bottles. I had originally wanted glass bottles due to concerns about using plastic. We purchased a few glass bottles and a few plastic bottles. We found we only use the plastic Dr. Brown's bottles now. The glass bottles are heavier, which makes them harder to use with my Medela pump due to a heavier object dangling while pumping. The glass bottles get condensation in them when we use them to heat up BM with our Dr. Brown's bottle warmer or if I used them to pump directly into and then put them in the fridge. The glass also got much hotter than the plastic after heating them in the bottle warmer to the point we would have to let the glass cool even though the milk inside was the right temperature. The glass bottles are good if you want glass bottles though and we did not have any problems with leaking, etc.

Comments about Dr. Browns Dr. Brown's Glass Bottles 2-Pack - 4 oz:

Easy to use, soft nipples, not really a pain to clean just a few extra parts than other bottles. I insisted on breast milk and so when I wanted a nap my husband was really struggling to try and feed our son. Baby boy hated Playtes, Madella, etc and he was a gasy baby. I tried Dr. Browns because the nipples are softer and smaller. That was the trick. He liked the bottle so much he stopped nursing and I had to pump for the next year. Pumping was a pain but atleast he was finally eating well and not gassy. That was a real blessing and we all started getting more sleep.

Comments about Dr. Browns Dr. Brown's Glass Bottles 2-Pack - 4 oz:

Love these bottles. A lot better than the plastic ones. Easy to clean and sterilize. The plastic ones change color and smell after you sterilize them for a while. That's why I prefer these glass ones. They're easy to heat up the milk.
The only con is that if you wanna store the milk they don't have a proper cap.
My little girl doesn't have so much colic thanks to this system .
        Love them!

If you are trying to minimize the amount of chemicals passed on to your baby, go with glass bottles. I really like these bottles because they heat up easily in boiled water. It takes about a minute for refrigerated breast milk to come to room temperature. They take a little longer to clean because of the vent inside. The product comes with one cleaner per box. You may want to purchase more cleaners.

                      - Glass does not absorb contents of the bottle in the material as plastic (bottles) do.
                      - very easy to clean compared to plastic bottles.
