Product Description

The new 2010 Joovy Caboose Ultralight Stand-On Tandem Stroller is the best stroller for parents of two young children. If you go on any family outings this is the stroller to get! The unique Stand On Tandem design empowers your older child to get on and off the stroller without help from mom or dad. The Caboose is the perfect stroller for theme parks like Disney World, Sea World, and the local mall or park; it moves your family smoothly in these environments. The Caboose has made riding in a stroller a fun thing to do; especially for the older child sitting/standing in the back. They suddenly become so independent and you will notice it with the big smile on their face!

We listen to our customers' feedback and added more! Check out the new front seat recline (3rd position 150 degrees) that allows your baby to nap comfortably. During these nap times the reclining seat covers the rear bench seat, so older brother or sister will have to stand in the rear. We did not sacrifice the size of the stroller by stretching it, we wanted to keep the short, single stroller wheel base, making it the easiest handling tandem stroller - by far.

For even more comfort we have added a rear suspension and now all FOUR wheels will cushion the ride for your little ones. For added safety we have put in a linked parking brake, press on either pedal and both sides will lock. The Ultralight also includes the famous neoprene Joovy Parent Organizer. It is fully loaded with two cup holders, two pockets, a zippered pocket that's perfect for keys, cell phones, cameras, etc. Of course, also included is the car seat adapter, turning the Caboose into a travel system for two.

The improvements don't stop there. We designed a larger storage basket, and you will also find big side pockets accessible from the outside making shopping even easier. The new Ultralight has the familiar huge canopy Joovy is known for. You will love it on those hot summer days.

Features

  • The Caboose Ultralight is the most lightweight, compact, maneuverable tandem available
  • Oversized canopy with visor extension. Three position reclining front seat
  • Large storage basket with side pockets. Parent organizer included
  • Linked rear parking brakes. Easy trigger fold design
  • Removable tray with 2 cup holders. Universal car seat adapter included

I originally had purchased the Graco Quattro Duo Double Stroller. This stroller is good if you are looking for two FULL seats for your kiddos-- complete with all the bells and whistles (snack trays, cup holders, and storage galore). Also, it might be better for longer outings than the Joovy Ultralight as there are two full seats and they are a little more cushy. But it was SO heavy, that I dreaded getting it in and out of my car. Also, often I found myself running here or there with one of the kids while my husband stayed home with the other, and I did not want to go through the trouble of the taking the double stroller out and putting the single stroller in, but the Graco was just NOT practical for putting just one kid in. It's like pushing a semi (there is no way I would want to push it in a smaller store, only a huge warehouse or outside). I really needed a stroller that would be great for two kids, but also ok if I only needed it for one.

The Joovy Caboose Ultralight was the answer for me. I LOVE how light it is, and how easy it is to get it in and out of the car, and how easy it is to steer and maneuver. It's major selling point for me was that IT HAS THE WHEELBASE OF A SINGLE STROLLER. Which means, that when I just have my toddler or my infant, it is great for pushing with only one child. And my toddler loves that she can sit in the back facing me (we haven't used the stand feature yet). And often she wants to walk anyway, so the full double stroller was just unnecessary. But, if I need to contain her in a seat, this stroller does that great.

It also has cute styling. I love the blue color. It is easy to fold and unfold (although I would say the Graco was a little bit easier in this area) and the infant seat goes in and out easily.
The one thing is that the seats are not super padded and do not seam quite as comfortable as the Graco.

If you are wondering if the Joovy will fit in the back of your car, I can attest since I previously had the TINIEST car, that if you remove the car seat attachment and the umbrella shade (which, honestly, is quite easy to do), it is one of the most compact strollers out there. I tried MANY double strollers in my trunk and the only ones that would fit were the Graco (just because of the way it folded, not because it is a small stroller by any means) and the Joovy (with attachments removed).

If you are debating between the Ultralight and the regular Joovy Caboose, I tried both of them. The weight didn't really make a difference to me. And I liked the pocket that the regular Joovy had on the back seat (my toddler liked to put her things in it) that the Ultralight doesn't have. The major selling feature to me of the Ultralight is the large sunshade. You absolutely can not get sun coverage for both kids at the same time with the regular Joovy. You need the larger shade that is on the Joovy Ultralight. The fact that the seat reclines farther back than on the Ultralight Joovy is nice, but was not a big deal for me since my kid never naps in the stroller. The other selling feature was that the parent organizer is included with the Ultralight. That item is a must, and you have to purchase it separately for the regular Joovy.

All in all, I am very happy with my purchase.

I purchased this stroller less than 25 days ago, we've used it about 6-7 times and the foam handles for the "stander" have already split and ripped. That is really frustrating, because the ride is smooth, the build is sturdy (for once), and it is lightweight! We've tried about 20 strollers since our first (of 3) was born & this was our favorite non jogging stroller. What a bummer. I was a little irritated that the stroller had those foam handles, because they can't be cleaned either. With kids, it's better to have something that can be clean & sanitary. :(

Comments about Joovy Caboose Ultralight Stand-On Tandem Stroller - Blueberry:

It is easy to steer, my 5 yr old can do it. Although it does get harder the bigger the load. I am very glad I got the more spendy version however because, I can't imagine having to detach the car seat adapter everytime I put it away or have a 45lbs weight limit! Baby is not here yet, but my 2, 5 and 10 year old can't get enough of it. The little ones like to take turns riding in it while my boy pushes. So far it is great fun! Manueverable and very managable. It was easy to assemble too.

Comments about Joovy Caboose Ultralight Stand-On Tandem Stroller - Blueberry:

I never write reviews. But I had to write a review about this stroller. We just came home from Disney World yesterday and I went with my 7 month old son and 3 year old daughter. The stroller was awesome!!! Super easy to steer even in crowded places I had no trouble getting around. The stroller is also very lightweight at one point I was pushing my 6 yr. old nephew and my 2 kids and had no trouble pushing the stroller and steering. My 3 yr old loved it because she had the flexibility to sit, stand or get in and out of the stroller whenever she wanted. The only con is if the front seat is reclined all the way back there is very little space for the child in the back to sit, but they still can stand comfortably. I would definitely recommend this stroller to anybody that has 2 small children.

Comments about Joovy Caboose Ultralight Stand-On Tandem Stroller - Blueberry:

I was looking for a lightweight stand-on double stroller for my 2 1/2 year old toddler and 5 month old baby. The Joovey is perfect for us. My toddler doesn't stay in any stroller for too long, so I like that she can step on and off. My son's carseat (Chicco) fits perfectly in the front. The best part about this stroller is that it doesn't feel like a huge/heavy double stroller and in fact I can use it as a single stroller when I just have one child with me. It maneuvers really well and I have no problem collapsing or opening it on my own. The sunshade gives nice coverage to both children.

Yes, it is true that my toddler has to lean forward a little bit when she is sitting on the jump seat and my baby's carseat is in place. But once my baby is out of the carseat and using the regular upright seat (which will be soon), there will be plenty of room for my toddler to be comfortable and lean back in the jumpseat.

Honestly my only complaints about this stroller are the handlebar and the cupholder attachment. The handlebar does not adjust and sometimes it feels a little to high for me (I'm 5'4"). And the cupholder attachment is made of a soft material that doesn't seem to secure cups very well (they sort of tilt backwards). Those are the only two things I would change.

Overall, I love this stroller and am very happy with my purchase.

Comments about Joovy Caboose Ultralight Stand-On Tandem Stroller - Blueberry:

We have owned lots of strollers (Graco, BOB, Baby Jogger, Maclaren, Jeep, InStep, Baby Trend, Mia Moda, and more). We have three very young, close in age children. When we buy a stroller, we want it to be sturdy, lasting, high quality, and something that I (a 100lb mom) can lift and bring with me when I run errands with three tiny children. This is the best sit and stand on the market right now. We've tried the other brands and this is the only sturdy one out there. My only pet peeve is that the back wheels make a quiet squeeking noise at times - even though my boys are much below the weight limit. Overall, it does a good job and makes running errands a lot easier than a full double stroller. It's hard to get to the basket and the cup holder is small, but I am mostly interested in toting children easily.

I love this stroller, it isn't too big or bulky, like a lot of the others. It moves with ease. My 2 year old loves the independence of being able to switch positions. I looked for months on a stroller for my two boys; a 2 year old and a 5 month old. This works great. Can't wait to hit the mall this winter. Before we had to take turns with other stroller or rent one, what a hassel.

Comments about Joovy Caboose Ultralight Stand-On Tandem Stroller - Blueberry:

This stroller is amazing! I was a little worried about my TALL 3 year old fitting with an infant car seat on the front, but she LOVES it. It was a little cramped for her then, but now that her little brother can sit in the stroller without a car seat she has tons of room. Definitely worth the short-term sacrifice for the long-term gain.

It is super light, a smooth ride...easy to maneuver (way easier than my Graco Quatro Deluxe. I can steer with 1 hand when loaded with both kids), and folds up really compact. When I see people struggling fitting into places with their Sit n Stand strollers I am SO happy we chose this one. It makes long walks and shopping a breeze.

Bought this stroller after looking at multiple double strollers. I have a newborn and an almost 3 year old so I wanted something that the 3 year old would ride in as she grew bigger. She loves her big sister seat in the back. We have an Eddie Bauer infant seat that fits perfectly in the front with the universal adapter. Steers very easily and doesn't feel like I am pushing a tank like some of the double strollers.

Love this stroller. I had the regular Joovy Caboose and really liked it so I decided to sell it and try out the Ultralight. This stroller is 100 times better than the regular caboose! Totally worth the extra money. It is so much lighter and I can even push it with one hand with over 60lbs. of weight from my 2 kids in it. The front seat reclines to just about flat, the basket is really big and the linked brakes are really convienent. I can't say anything about the larger canopy since I ordered a special edition from another website (it was alot cheaper too) and it has the regular canopy on it...although I will probably order a new canopy because I'm sure that's alot better too! Don't waste your money on the regular Caboose, it's really heavy and not nearly as nice!
