i used this thermometer for my daughter. I've used it orally,anally, and armpit and it takes about 10 minutes to get a reading.

Period. Do not Buy. I have repeatedly tried to get a temperature from my baby when I suspected she might have a fever, but not only does it take an obscene amount of time as my baby is screaming and squirming, it doesn't ever indicate when it's done. It just decides to shut off. I was so furious when it did this to me several times that I was on the verge of snapping it in half and tossing it in the trash, and only didn't because I want to see if I can return this piece of trash.

We spent money on other types of much more expensive thermometers but this one is the best. After encountering 103.4 temp on our five month old, we went to the ER and she registered the same temperature there. Can get any more accurate than that!

There is nothing great or even remotely close to great about this product. It takes an eternity for it to get an accurate temperature. Our baby starts getting really fussy because of how long we have to leave the thermometer in. Worst purchase I've made in a long time.

We bought this thermometer because it has the option to change it to oral, underarm, and via rear. The first time we opened it the mode button wouldn't work and we had to take the end cap off to get it to change modes. Just a few weeks later the thermometer stopped changing modes completely.

On top of the lack of functionality, the thermometer is inconsistent, giving temperatures as much as 4 degrees apart when measured successively.

Save your money and try another thermometer.

I've had this thermomeer since my daugher was a newborn (she is now 1). It's a waste of money. I can' get an accurate reading. I checked my daughters temp when she felt warm and it read 102.2, she didn't feel that warm so I used a manual thermometer and it was only 99.5. I would not recomment this thermometer, it's caused unnecessary worring and stress. I also can' get the different modes to work. Wish I had saved the packaging so I could return it.

This thermometer takes FOREVER to get a reading under the armpit. My poor daughter screams through the few minutes it often takes to get a reading! Read the directions carefully...I thought the reading was done at the beep, but that is just the beginning of the read. And it never beeps when it is done, so you don't know! Watching the temperature climb on this thermometer is as slow as watching grass grow. I would NEVER buy this thermometer again.

I actually bought this for me to use - I need to take my temperature every morning. First of all, the weird tub temp thing is just annoying. And 3/4 of the time, it randomly goes to that mode (which takes around 30 seconds), even though the oral mode was selected.

Plus, it's inaccurate. This morning, it said my temp was more than a full degree higher than my waking temperature has EVER been, and I'm not running a fever. I'm taking this back today.

my baby felt warm so i checked his temperature and it said 99.1. so i checked it again and it went right up to 100.4, so i checked it again and it went back down to 98.5 i didnt know which number to trust, so i went out and bought a new thermometer... havent had a problem since.
