When it came time to assemble this hexbug, there were no written instructions, just pictures, and they left a lot to be desired. Because of the angle of the picture/photo, you could not see (and therefore could not figure out) how the pieces fit together. In one instance the angle of the picture/photo was so misleading as to lead you to think that the track ran from one level to another, only to find out the hexbug won't work that way. It took me a while to figure out that there is more than one way to configure the assembly. A few lines of explanation would be very useful. Also, it seems that after using it a while it becomes clear that both hexbots are not equal; one of them usually wins the battle, so after a while you know whether you got the winner or the loser hexbot, and you lose interest in having any more battles.

My son was looking forward to this but when we tried to put it together the stilts that make it two levels did not fit into the white "battle" areas. In fact the white battle areas were not solid like shown on the box but had small hole s in the floor. Not sure if we got a reject but will return it to the store and hope they have one that works.

Great toy, i gave this toy to my nephew 7 years old and he love so much, he played a lot with it. It is so much fun.

This set is sturdier than it looks. It's easy to put together and the parts interlock smoothly and securely. The bugs crawl realistically as if they have a mind of their own. I hope their batteries last a long time--we haven't had it long enough to evaluate. The bugs themselves are not as colorful or "artsy" as others I've seen, but good for races, mini-battles, and just plain interesting to watch them maneuver.

We bought this for my son's 5th birthday,and it was HUGE hit not only with the 5 year olds but with the 10 and 11 year old cousins. We've had it for about 2 months & my son still pulls it out to play with it. That says a lot since a lot of my son's toys get played with for about a week & then forgotten. Also super easy to set up. It only took about 2 minutes to build & we were playing!

I must admit that I like to play with these just as much as the kids do. I'm always skeptical of small battery powered toys like this. They never really work like they say they will or the kids will get bored after a few minutes of play but these are mesmerizing...They are so quick and they have rubber bodies so they just bounce off of each other and keep going. They go in and out of the curved track perfectly and if one happens to get flipped over it wiggles itself back on it's feet. Great product and so fun to watch. They kids will love to battle on the bridge!!

This is a wonderful new Hexbug set for the nanobugs- last Christmas my children got Hexbugs and they were a hit, this set will be a fun addition to their other hexbugs. This product has a lot of play value, and is made very well.
