We wanted a doll to teach our daughter how to be a big sister, and we wanted something simple and cute and we found this doll and thought it was perfect for her because she's on the pacifier too and we know it's going to be a problem when she sees the baby with a pacifier so it's helping teach her that the baby needs her pacifier and that you have to be nice to the baby when she cries and she loves it! She's responding so loving to the cry of the baby and if you don't want to hear the crying you can just turn off the switch! Also we bought the bottles accessories and she's loving feeding the doll when she cries!

I would have never purchased this item in the store had I realized what a horrible sound eminates from this cute doll any time the pacifier is not in the mouth. What an awful lesson to reinforce to little girls, and worse, the sound is inhuman!!! Shame on you Toys R Us!
