My husband and I bought two of these car seats. LOVE THEM! We feel that this car seat is the best. My husband says, "it looks like a space chair" LOL! We feel that if something were to happen at least our little girl will be safe while being in this. The only problem is to put her into it because the sides are bulky BUT we don't mind that because it is for her safety!

I got this car seat for my first son when this model came out 2 years ago. I transitioned him from his infant car seat to this seat when he was 7 months old.
When my other son was born i had him in the infant car seat and he screamed and cried every single time he went in the car. i bought him this carseat and at almost 3 months old my son didn't freak out when he went in the car.

The straps don't tangle or twist (my carseat in my husbands car always tangle), it is really comfortable, my kids heads don't fall forward -- overall a great carseat

however it is BIG. - we don't have an issue with that bc we have a minivan with 2 bucket seats in the 2nd row but i think it would be a tight fit for 2 of these seats in a regular sized car. Prior to our minivan we had a ford edge and didn't have a problem with 1 installed

it is pricey - but so worth it -- just knowing how safe they are gives me a peace of mind.

I did a lot of research before deciding on this seat. It was always in the top ten for safety - and I found out twice it wasn't top rated because the reviewer thought that the cost for the air cushions was not worth it over the lower model without them. However, if you were going to take a swing at me, I'd like the air cushions, haha.
I have a Honda Accord Crosstour and was easily able to put this seat behind the driver's side. I'm 5'2" so I thought for my husband (6') it might not make it, but it does! The only downside is that rear facing there is not a ton of room to get my son in (7months, 22lbs), but we do fine and by the time it's a hassle, he'll be able to climb in from the other side or we'll turn it forward.
The seat itself is comfortable and the fabric has a great feel.
Downside - the click and safe, while a good idea, does tend to click too early. A little common sense to double check and tighten more if necessary takes care of that problem.

i am a Britax advocate. I have a 4 and 5 year old who are still in car seats and will not be taking them out anytime soon! We just moved our Britax Boulavard carseats to my aunts car and purchased 2 Advocates this weekend! We are so pleased with these new seats and my kids love them! Would highly recommend to anyone with kids!!!!!!

Just bought this for my 6 month old to use rear facing and it seems very substantial as far the side impact features go. It is very wide at the top so I think you would have to have a large SUV or minivan to accomodate this seat rear facing. It also seems like the actual seat space for the baby is small (at least smaller than the Boulevard CS I have for my 3 year old). Since I plan for my baby to use this seat for at least 3 more years, I tried it out on my 3 year old, just to make sure it would fit her and it did so at least I know it will be a seat that will grow with us.
Overall, it seems like a great seat that will keep my little one snug and safe!

This is the ideal car seat for the parent that wants a safe, sturdy, easy-to-install car seat for a growing child. This seat fits up to 70 lbs, making it an ideal seat for an infant. We used a travel system for our daughter until she outgrew the infant seat, and after much research decided on the Britax Advocate 70 CS. I am thrilled with our decision! It is easily to install (we use both the latch & seat beat installation) and if properly installed, this seat doesn't budge! The extra side padding is terrific in reducing side-impact head injuries. The harness is easily to fasten, loosen & adjust.

The downside I see is the size. It is slightly wider than other car seats, and more spacious when in rear-facing position. We have a small SUV, and had no trouble installing it in the rear-facing or forward-facing positions. However, I also have a small coupe, and the car seat would barely fit in it rear-facing (if the front seat was scooted all the way forward). Front-facing it is a cozy fit, but it will work. Would suggest trying this out in a smaller car, but should work fine in a large car or SUV. VERY easily to move from vehicle to vehicle. Highly, highly recommend.

I was so impressed with this seat that I sat on a waiting list for 2 of them for my twins before they were even available on the market. My babies were still in infant carseats at the time so we kept using those until these became available. They have been well worth the wait. The 'babies' (now almost 3) are comfortable in them and I feel confident they are as safe as they can possibly be in the car. I will say that if you plan to use this rear-facing go to a store that will allow you to take it out to your car before purchasing to see if it will fit. But, as long as you have a large vehicle OR are getting it after your kids have turned forward facing, then I really recommend it.

There are two reasons I didn't give it 5 stars:

1) I don't especially like the 'click and safe' feature. On both of my seats it clicks WAAAAAY too early. I have to adjust the straps a little to allow some extra 'give' and then pull again until the click and safe stops me again. I have to do this readjustment 2-3 times each time I put a baby in and it is true for both seats.
I am concerned that someone not paying enough attention would hear the click and then not bother to look and see that it actually still has lots of room to be pulled snug. I had these professionally installed and mentioned my feelings to the technician who agreed 100% that he also feels the click and safe gives care-givers false sense of security that a child is secure when that isn't necessarily true.

2) It has become clear that even though it is safety rated up to 70lbs, there is no way we will be able to use it to anywhere near that weight. So, it's not going to last us as long as I had hoped, especially when I was using that length of time to help justify the cost of getting two of these. But right now my twins are 33 months, approx 33 pounds and approx 37 inches. I have recently adjusted the shoulder straps up again to make sure they are staying "at or above" the childs shoulders per safety guidelines. However I now have only about another inch of room to adjust before I won't have any more height adjustment available.

So, while the safety rating may be up to 70lbs; that doesn't mean your child will actually fit in it for that long. This has been a huge realization/disappointment for me.

But, even with the two negatives, I will continue to enjoy these seats for as long as I can within guidelines and be glad I had them for however long that may be.

My husband and I are both physicians and researched the heck out of all the carseats and brands on the market! In our mind, this is, hands down, the safest seat on the market! We also LOVE the click safe feature as it makes it foolproof to tighten the belts to the right length! Best car seat we have ever used for our two kids!

we were looking for the safest carseat we could find and after much research and checking websites for ratings we decided on this britax for our son. it is large but the extra safety features are amazing. i feel so confident with our purchase and our baby loves it. he falls asleep everytime he gets in it because it just cradles his body. wouldn't change our decision for anything because you can't put a price on your childs safety. easy to install as well!

My husband did a great deal of research on car seats before we headed to the store to buy one. We were looking at a couple of different ones but after talking to the store clerk we decided on this one. I was very hesitant at first because of the price, but after today I am so glad that we spent the extra money. We were in a car accident today that left our car totalled and me very banged up, but my little guy was so secure in his seat that the accident barely phased him. I don't think that he or the car seat moved at all during the impact. The accident was bad enough that we have to replace the car seat and we will definitely be purchasing this one again.
