The Britax Boulevard 70 convertible car seat is designed for children rear facing from 5 to 40 pounds and forward facing up to 70 pounds. The Boulevard 70 achieves revolutionary head safety through the use of patent-pending Britax SafeCell Technology, integrated steel bars, and Versa-Tether that work together to minimize head excursion and reduce the risk of head injury during a frontal impact. The Boulevard 70 also incorporates Britax True Side Impact Protection and offers a five-point no-rethread harness, a quick-adjust head restraint, multiple buckle and recline adjustments, and an easy access cover and access to belt paths from the front of the seat. A body pillow is also provided for comfort and infant positioning.

• True Side Impact Protection has a head restraint with an extra layer of energy-absorbing EPP foam, keeping the head, neck and spine aligned and deep side walls to distribute crash forces, shield vehicle intrusion, and contain the head, neck and body.
• Quick-Adjust Harness repositions the harness shoulder height without disassembling the harness straps.

Love the safety reports on this seat, most importantly, comfortable, quality fabric, love the pattern, this is my 4th Britax Boulevard seat as we need 2 in each car. Would highly recommend and would buy again.

The carseat is beautiful and the safety features sold me. As a first time mom I want only the best and safest for my pride and joy. Sadly...my baby absolutely hates this carseat! He never fussed at all in his infant seat, but with this one he fusses the entire drive! I had to eat the cost of this seat and buy another infant seat with a higher weight capacity instead. I believe that part of the problem is the recline, it does not recline far enough and with a large infant, he outgrew his infant seat faster than his neck developed so when he falls asleep in this seat his head flops forward. I will try it again later when my son can hold his head up better but I have another friend whose baby hates her boulevard as well so I'm not sure if it will do the trick.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Yes, it's pricey but knowing my baby is well protected is worth the financial cost. I suggest visiting the Britax website if you're looking for a seat. The videos sold me! This seat will allow my baby to ride rear-facing the longest, it has the most head protection, and has a nice comfy seat pad. Try pushing the seats on other brands and see if you'd enjoy sitting on that for long drives! Oh, and the color is not green. The one we have is a gray color. It is a cool gray so I could see why some call it green. I also love that the fabric is soft. Especially on the head rest!
One complaint: after some time the buckle has gotten sticky and won't undo easily. Also the straps seem to be lop-sided and I can't get them to be the same tension. It is only a slight difference, but it bothers me.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Please know that this fabric is a green velvet. I love the car seat but the color bugs me. It is very comfortable and our baby sleeps well and is very happy in it. The straps are easy to release and tighten and it is very simple to install in the car. I would buy it again just in an other fabric.
