It includes a Flex-Loc stay-in-car base featuring flexible (not rigid) latch straps. The car seat also comes with a boot that provides extra warmth and comfort for baby.

Originally, I liked the colors in this seat but found a couple features a little difficult to use; the mechanism to move the handle forward and back was hard to operate. It was a little awkward to get the seat out because of the front release. The "puzzle lock" to "snap" the strap in place was awkward.

After a couple days of using it though I've gotten the "hang of it" and now find it very easy to use. The front release feature is now easy, I can get the handle up and down easily ( I do that from the opposite side of the seat ) I don't know why it's so much easier that way but it is. I love the "puzzle lock" snap now. It's a "cinch" and I like knowing that there is no way it can be snapped in incorrectly.

Of course, during the previous Consumer Reports Review, it was the only seat that "passed" the 70 mph test. This allegedly was not the proper testing because it should have been done at 45mph, like the NTSB testing.
Why wouldn't a grandparent want their grandbaby in a seat that survived 70 mph testing? According to Baby Bargains's Lastest Edition, Baby Trend seats have never had a product recall.

I know the Chicco seat is rated very good also. It was a lot more money though and the canopy on it doesn't move. The extra bases are also quite a bit more than Baby Trend's.

The Baby Trend Canopy is large and fully adjustable. This part is awesome because no matter where the sun is, it protects the baby.

My granddaughter is 3 mo. and about 11 pd.s so we haven't approached the time she'd "grow out" of the seat.

It is a little heavy but I think it is comparable in weight to other seats. We also use it with the Baby Trend "Snap n' Go" stroller, which has been wonderful. Most seats are around 9 pd.s so when you put that with a 10 pd. baby, it's going to be heavy.

Also, as noted by others, the attachment buckle is plastic and that bothered me initially but all seats meet the government safety standards and the plastic doesn't get scalding hot like metal buckles can get in the summer sun.

Also, I like this seat because the straps adjust with just a turn of a knob. You don't have to take the straps out and re-thread it like some of the Graco models.

Finally, I would buy this seat again and would recommend it.

I bought this carseat back in september 2010 for my newborn daughter, I use this carseat on a daily basis but my daughter cries every time i sit her in this carseat. It is very beautiful more beautiful in person, but I should have listened to the reviews before purchasing this carseat because it is simply just too heavy! I am a single mother so I maintain independently always moving her from the base to the stroller alone and even the walk from the car to the house is hell for me because its just too heavy! It appears very narrow and in fact is too narrow, my daughter is at normal average weight and height for her age and even then i question if she'll be able to last in this seat for another 7 months or less for that matter. Overall if you are thinking about buying this carseat then just think twice before you do because it is heavy, bulky and does not look like it will hold a 30 pound baby as it says it does.

I picked this out for my choice of seat and got it a my baby shower. I have been using it since my daughter was born and she is now 17 months old. This seat is pretty and safe! It is very easy to install and take out. My daughter is very comfortable in it!

I bought this seat because I loved the print and the no rethreading feature! And I absolutely LOVE it! so easy to install and use! plus I never saw anyone else with this so it was unique, I always recieved compliments. I felt it sat sturdy in my car and my daughter seemed comfy in it. This will be my go to brand from now on!

I loved this car seat. I wanted something different and I got it with this one. I loved the pattern. I don't understand why everyone says they have a hard time adjusting the straps. It is SO easy. And it was really easy to clean. My daughter used this until she turned 1 and she was a bigger baby. I got rid of it and really wish I didn't. A week later found out I was expecting again. I will definitely buy another one of these. Even the nurses in the hospital raved about how nice it was.

The car seat is very cute but it is hard to loosing the straps and we have had trouble getting it out of the base a few times(this is baby #2 so we know how to use a car seat it's like it just gets stuck). Everytime i put my daughter in it she screams and cries her head off, I wish i could afford to buy her another car seat but we can not. I made a mistake with the purchase of this one.

I love the color and design of this car seat. The 'umbrella' is big and blocks out the sun and wind good. It is easy to adjust the straps.
I don't like the base however. It is very loose and doesn't want to stay in the position we put it in (all the way reclined.) It is also really heavy. And even though our daughter is only 14 lbs. it seems like she is already getting to big for it. ??

This car seat is a little heavy, but it's totally worth it! It kept up well with my little one through every growth spurt up until 6 months when he was simply too big for it (yes, boy in a purple car seat, sadly this car seat doesn't seem to be sold in more masculine colors, unless it is now. This is 6 months after my purchase). I absolutely LOVE how easy everything is to adjust on it from the height of the shoulder straps to the carseat base itself to the actual shoulder straps (seriously, that was SUCH an awesome feature for when my little guy went from bulky jean overalls to a onsie). It's also pretty simple to take apart and everything except the hood and the latch strap at the bottom can be removed, machine washed and reassembled quickly and easily. Oh, and getting it out of the car. There is a handle at the base of the seat, pull it and VOILA! The seat comes right out. To put the seat in, just set it on the base and line it up, set it down and it gives a satisfying click as soon as it's in right. HIGHLY recommend this seat!

Oh, but for the sake of fairness, I don't like how easy the fabric is to water-spot in the rain...

i dont see nothing great about this car seat. Every time i put my newborn baby in the car seat she crys because it is to unconfortable and it looks like she is sitting down and leaning forward. yes the car seat is beautiful but its not what someone would be looking for. It is hard to buckle, hard to clean, unconfortable. Another thing my baby is 1 month old and she is 24 inches long considering the car seat only says its until the baby is 30 inches long.

This car seat is very light, easy to wipe off and looks really nice too. I love butterflies so this car seat was prefect! The only problem i have with the car seat is to buckle it, i feel like I'm fighting with it to close it but it also might be because my daughter is only five pounds and don't have much room to move around between both of the buckles. Other than that its great!
