I recently started making some of my son's baby food at home, and have purchased several of the Annabel Karmel products such as this one. I think they're fabulous and make it so easy, not to mention you can't beat the price.
This steam release dish is perfect for SUPER-quick cooking of veggies, fruit, etc. Obviously it's best for small portions, which works out great if you're making food for just that day or meal.
Definitely agree with others that it's not helpful at all that they completely left out instructions. I'm a first-time mom as well, and had no idea how much water to put in or how long to microwave. Had to experiment, but it's working great now that I know what I'm doing.
Would definitely buy again and recommend to others.

I should have learned my lesson after I bought the last thing that was not so great from Annabel Karmel. I got this home egar and ready to use. BUT as I opened it there was no directions in it. Only recipes. It would have been nice if there was at least a suggestion on how long to microwave, fruit, veggies ect. I know its not rocket science but as a first time mommy and new to all this baby food making stuff (which is scary enough) some direction would have been great.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I had no problem with this steamer. I thought the size was perfect as it allows you to make just enough veggies for the baby to eat. I had having to store tons of already made food. It was easy to use if you have any common sense. You just lift the steam release, put in enough water to cover it and put it in the micro for about 2 minutes (for hard veggies and about a minute for soft fruits). Each micro is different, so start with less time and then go it in 30 second intervals until you get to know your micro. It is easy to clean and use and way easier than the bebe thing... which I have. that thing is difficult to clean and wastes space!!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

It only holds like (1) cut up apple at a time, and because it didn't come with any instructions, I burned them. Better off with plastic wrap and a microwave safe bowl. :(

I have no idea how to use this, cannot use it, I would like to use it to steam rice or veggies or something! It only has recipe on the box, nothing else. I have no idea what I can put in here, how much water to use, how much food I can put, how long to put it in the microwave.
