I was very excited when I heard Chicco was finally coming out with a double stroller. I was initially against any double stroller; I just didn't want to mess with it. But when our daughter was 2.5 years and our son was four months we were taking a month long trip abroad, and I knew we wouldn't be able to corral both kids without one. The Cortina Together worked wonderfully for what we needed. We already had a Chicco car seat and Trevi, so we knew we liked Chicco. And I wanted both kids to be able to sit comfortably. I knew a sit and stand would be lighter, but didn't want my two-year-old to have to stand or sit on an uncomfortable, tiny seat all the time. After hauling this thing all over Europe, here is why I love this stroller:

You can easily snap the Chicco car seat into it. I love that you can place it in the front seat or back seat. When we want more control of our toddler, we place her in the back and baby in the front. But when we are just enjoying a walk she loves sitting in the front to see better, and hop in and out on her own. It is also a great feature that the rear seat fully reclines. This is nice for a napping toddler, and makes a great bassinet for a sleeping baby.

The basket underneath is very large and very accessible. Adding the zippered front is a huge help, to be able to access things even when the back seat is fully reclined. I was able to easily carry diaper bags, luggage, groceries, etc in that thing. I also like that the basket stretches in front of the rear seat. If our daughter dropped anything, it caught it, which is nice when you are running to catch a train, and not keeping track of everything!

The canopies work well. They aren't large, but the fact that they adjust so easily means you can keep your children covered from rain, or keep the sun out of their eyes, no matter what angle. I also love having the two cup holders for mom and dad, as well as the two cup holders on the front seat. A con, however, is that there are no cup holders for the back seat. And the two cup holders on the front can be switched which is nice. But, if you have them turned out, you can't fold the canopy up when the stroller is folded, and if you have them turned in, you can't fold the front seat down to accommodate the car seat. But this is super easy to adjust. The seats move very easily as well – one hand adjustment. The brakes and wheel locks are great and easy too.

Even with its large size, the stroller turns on a dime. The handle bar adjusts easily for pushers of different heights. Sometimes we found the stroller can be a little tricky to fold up – the lock only requires one hand, but you have to maneuver the stroller just right to get it to collapse on itself. When folded up, though, it's not too huge – it easily fits in our Honda CVR, no problem. It's great for on the go, easy to set up – no adjustments needed.

The stroller proved to be very durable – considering we hauled it on and off planes and trains, as well as up and down cobblestone streets and off-road. Like others have said, it is heavy, but it is a double stroller, that's what you get. It is lighter than many options, though. My close friend has a Graco double, and she is super jealous of our Chicco! One other negative is there's no handle or really great place to grab the stroller to carry it when it's folded up. The feature that allows it to still roll when folded is nice, but obviously doesn't help when you are going up stairs.

I truly love this stroller, and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Coming from one mommy who didn't especially want a double, is only five feet tall (and not very strong!), but realized she needed it, I would never use another double stroller. This is the way to go!

Our youngest 2 are 17 months apart. So, before our youngest was born, I knew we would need a double stroller from the get-go. First, I should preface this with the fact that I bought the Chicco infant Keyfit carseat due to it's number one Consumer Report for safety, so, the flaws that were present, still didn't outweigh our sons' safety. With that being said, there were a few things about it that were disappointing (one of which they've since fixed: the visor being too short to block ANY sunlight). So, like I said, we weren't thrilled with it, but the safety of it won and we decided to buy the Chicco double stroller to be compatible with the infant carseat.

For 1: (a small, but still annoying feature), it's not offered in our carseat fabric. We ended up purchasing the black stroller, so that the red wouldn't clash with our green Keyfit. Annoying, but no biggie.

2nd-it is so big, and so heavy. 1 week post-cesarean, on my own with a small toddler and a newborn, I am more than certain this far exceeded my weight limit for lifting. But with an 8 year old who still has to go to school and such, lifting the stroller and loading and unloading it weren't exactly an option.

3rd-it is a bear to steer. Now that our youngest is almost a year old, and he sometimes sits in the front, and our heavier toddler sits in the back (causing the weight to be more evenly distributed), it's not AS hard, but still impossible to steer in tight corners. Especially annoying when our youngest was a fussy 4 month old, and ended up needing to be picked up and held, while attempting to steer one armed, with the toddler in the front---forget about it! For real......it's impossible.

4th-the front seat recline, is essentially a joke. It doesn't recline enough for any sort of stroller napping, even without the carseat in the back. Your baby/toddler's head is going to be bobbing the entire ride if they happen to be the one sitting in front when they nod off. I'm not sure why Chicco couldn't make the front seat with an optional recline, even if there was only enough room for it to recline without an infant carseat in the back.

5th (and hopefully lastly)- there aren't any upholders for the rear seat. And honestly, I'm not sure how that could be remedied (that might be an unrealistic expectation), but it would still be a nice feature, none the less.

Overall, it get a 3, because as far as double strollers go, it's just average. I've test drove quite a few others and now that I don't need the stroller to be compatible with the carseat, I'm on the hunt for a new one. But, I have yet to find one that seems to fit all of our needs. What needs to happen, is one of us moms who drive these things everyday and have noticed all their flaws needs to invent one......

Comments about Chicco Cortina Together Double Stroller - Fuego:

Went to our local Babies R Us to finally take the plunge and purchase a double stroller. The Chicco stroller was not our first option, didn't even look at it at first. We tried the Graco double one first, terrible! Our 3 year old was too tall for the front seat and her feet hung over the foot rest. Then we moved to the Baby Trend one, similar situation with our 3 year as with the Graco one.
Finally we were down the Chicco double stroller only because the hubby mentioned, "let's try it out for fun". So we did.
Our 3 year old finally looked comfortable! And the baby carseat fit snug in the back seat. The carseat even latches on and locks like how it does on its base and it was a Graco one! It also gives you the option of switching the carseat from the back seat to the front and both give you front view of the baby.
Don't even get me started on the looks of it! It is sooo much better made then the Graco double stroller. The fabric, the cushioning, everything! The basket on the bottom is also accessible from the back with a zipper.
I compared all three of them side by side and you will get your moneys worth with the CHICCO one for sure!

Very nice stroller for our infant and toddler. Accomodates chico infant car seat easily. The stroller is large, but surprisingly fits in my small SUV. Only con is that this stroller is VERY heavy and open/close function is not as easy as described.

This stroller is not lightweight, its horrible to fold and takes a lot of room in the back of the car. Its length makes it difficult to turn. If you have two kids that nap at the same time, the front seat doesnt recline back. The shades continuously fall off and are an added nightmare when trying to fold up the stroller to put into the back of the car. The only good thing about this stroller was the storage space under the stroller other then that this stroller is a nightmare. If you are a petite mom like myself I do not recommend this stroller at all.

Comments about Chicco Cortina Together Double Stroller - Fuego:

The stroller is heavy, but not when compared to other doubles. There are features that make it very useful though. First, it is narrow enough to use in a store or navigate in crowds. Think about one of those double wide jogger types in Disneyland and shudder. Also, you can recline the back seat and a nap could be had, if your kids do that (mine don't). The under storage is good and can be accessed even when the seat is reclined so that makes it better. Potential cons include:the size. True, it is a bit big so If you drive a tiny car you may be out of luck. I just fold it up the same way each time so everything goes right and then pick it up from the side and put it in the back. Not a one handed affair for me, but my kids are in their seats by then anyhow. Lack of rear cup holder. I bought a double cup holder that you just secure on the side for less than $10. Problem solved. The sun shades. I don't usually leave the front one on since my 3.5 year old just can't resist terrorizing it, but I have started putting it on for long walks around town for better coverage. I simply pop it off before I put the stroller back in the car. No biggie. Steering. It can be hard to steer when you have the bigger kid in the front, but not impossible. Having them in the front means they have a good view and thy can hop out on their own without having to lift them up out of the back seat, so weigh the pros and cons on that one.
To sum up: the stroller useful and tough. A bit heavy but that was to be expected. Try it out in the store with your kids. This will give you a good idea if it works for you.

I have two children a 2 yr old and newborn. The purpose of purchasing this item was to keep my 2 yr old contained while out and about so I don't have to leave my infant unattended at anytime. Toddlers love to run. Love that it matches the car seat I all ready have. Fairly light for a double stroller. Easy to open and fold up. Dislike the storage compartment not because of its size that is actually nice, but when you have the infant car seat in you can't get to the storage compartment without lifting out the infant seat and raising the seat. This won't be an issue when my infant can sit in the seat without the infant car seat unless she is napping. Very expensive double stroller that never goes on sale in this specific color. I would buy this product again, but in the cubes/grey color as that double stroller is made by the same company and is always on sale and can use coupons when purchasing.

Product is wonderful. I knew I had to have a double stroller that would fit two infant car seats to make my life easy. Stroller is lightest double there is (I tried them all). Fits in the trunk of my Pilot and Corrolla. Easy to open and close. I go everywhere on my own. I can drive stroller with one hand and pull a shopping cart behind me with the other hand. This stroller makes very sharp turns. Perfect for small stores and aisle in Queens. Easy to pick up front to jump up onto curbs. It does take practice to maneuver well, so walking around your neighborhood is a good idea before going to a store with small aisles. Absolutely love this stoller.

Comments about Chicco Cortina Together Double Stroller - Fuego:

I have a two year old and a baby. We have been using this stroller for 7 months now. I think most people are comparing it to a Cortina and it will never be the Cortina because it is a Double. This is one of the lightest doubles out there and it is very well made. I thought for it carrying two children and all of the stuff that goes with two children it handled turns great. I can actually turn it better than I could turn the Trevi with one hand. Again it does not handle like the Cortina but it is great for a double. I have tried my sister in laws Baby trend stroller and a friends Contours stroller and I have to tell you I am so happy to have this one. It collapses so easily and has a great basket. I also love the red! The front canopy I was worried about not giving enough shade but it moves to any angle you need and I have always been able to block out the sun.

I was so excited when I heard the Chicco double was coming out we drove to Chicago to get one of the first strollers available in our area. I had a then infant and a 2 year old, and I am thin so perhaps that is why I had a harder time turning this HUGE boat. I hated it. My wrists would hurt from trying to turn this thing and if you are in the mall just forget it.
