I added these to my Baby registry for my second child (Boy) for His carseat activity because my first Son LOVED playing with toys on everything! His swing, stroller, changing table, and the Car seat so I wanted to make sure I had some for this baby as well. I chose these because I loved they were shaped like guitars and that they would play music and rattle.... as they are advertised... unfortunatly this is NOT the case and ordering was such a hassle!!

I went ahead and purchased these off my own registry because I wanted His Car-seat to all the 'trimmings' before my Baby Shower in October because in my Family we love to show off the Car-seat. I did the Site-to-Store shipping although the closest Toys R Us is 30 minutes away in the next town but recieved an email a day after my order informing me that the store just now came back and said they don't have these in stock for me to pick up so I had to go in and re-order and pay for the guitars and shipping again.... the shipping costed more than the actual guitars did but I ordered anyways.

So now the guitars are ordered and on their way. 7 whole BUISNESS days later I recieve this huge box and opened it to find two little guitars in it that do nothing but rattle.... maybe I misunderstood the description but it looks/advertises it comes with 4 guitars and that they rattle AND make an actual sound but apparently this is not the case because all they do is rattle literally! Also, I assumed it came with all 4 guitars because upon ordering I was NEVER asked which color set I wanted because there is a Yellow & Red set and then a Green & Blue set.... I recieved the Green and Blue but if had been given the choice to choose I would have chosen the Yellow and Red set. I called Toys R Us and they were basically saying just to return them to get all my money back but I went through so much just to get them to me I decided just to keep the overpriced, tiny, useless guitars....

Going to a different store for Baby items weeks later I did come across these guitars in both colors for cheaper so I did go ahead and purchase the Red & Yellow set... wish I had just found them at 'This store' before ordering from Toys R Us-Babies R Us..... this item is not even worth the 1-star rating I gave them because they don't anything but BARLEY rattle!

This item looks like it would be neat -and it is if you just want a rattle sound. The product on the card attached to the two guitars shows musical notes playing around the guitars. This implies to me that musical motes would be a part of their function. They have little things inside the handles that also would indicate that if you pinch that area you would hear something. Nothing happens at all unless you shake the handle and then you get the sound of a rattler - a very slight sound at that. They are cute but don't be deceived by the musical notes sprinkled around the babies head in the display.

Unfortunately, these were not what I thought they were. I was searching for an item like the Sassy Go-Go Bugs but with the chime sound. These guitars have the rattle sound which is not what I was looking for. It may have been my error not reading the description properly but I was sure I searched for 'chime toy'. Despite that, I am keeping them as they are a good quality item, longer length than the Go-Go Bugs which is nice so my 3 month old can reach them better when hanging from the toy bar. I love that they have the velcro strap - so much easier to use than the plastic rings to clip onto car seats, toy bars, etc. The velcro straps also don't slide around as much as the plastic rings do.
