        My baby girl will be 15 months old tomorrow and still gets excited when she sees her jitterbug. It is great from birth on to hang on the car seat while the black and white polka dots stimulate the brain. Then as she got older the texture of the wings kept her interested and the jitterbug part is great too! An all around awesome product!

          My one month old daughter loves her Sassy Bug! The bright and contrasting colors, rattle, crinkly wings, and "jitter" hold her attention for developmental play longer than any other play gym or toy. She smiles at her Bug, bats at it, and tracks it with her eyes. And her eyes get really wide and curious when the bug "jitters"! Based on my experience, I highly recommend this toy.

            We received this as a gift just a few days after our baby was born. I put it on the car seat immediately, never knowing when the baby would actually pay attention to it. Well he loved it immediately.

            This is a very small simple toy but has so many benefits. First of all the toy has black and white contrast on the bottom of the legs which are the first things new born babies focus on. Then it also has bright contrasting colors on the body of the bee and the legs. That's the second way babies see color. Third the feet are slightly different shades of yellow and orange which are the third way babies process colors. Also the materials vary slightly to give the baby different textures to feel.

            All of this and a little added vibration when the toy is pulled down make this an all around wonderful toy. I love that it doesn't cause sensory overload with too much going on at one time, but enough to encourage development in babies brain.

            I didn't notice all this at first but after I did I just loved this toy even more. And my babies loves it as well. He is just now 6 weeks and starting to try to hit at it.
