Cars Toon: Mater's Tall Tales is inspired by Disney/Pixar's wildly popular animated shorts of the same name. A follow up last year's successful Wii release, Toy Story Mania!, Cars Toon:Mater's Tall Tales is part of the Mania! video game franchise, featuring fast-paced, multiplayer, family fun. The game is a frenzied pick-up-and-play experience to be enjoyed by everyone in the room. With up to four players at once, Mania! games reward competitiveness and cooperation among players. The game will bring Mater together with Lightning McQueen and the "Cars" gang for a new set of adventures, capturing the endearing sense of humor of everyone's favorite tow truck. Players will join Mater and his pals as they relive the wild stories he conjures up about hilariously unpredictable events that may or may not have taken place. The voice of everyone's favorite tow truck, Mater, will be supplied by Daniel Whitney, "Larry the Cable Guy," who also voices the character in the film and cartoon shorts.

I purchased this item for my 7 year old for Christmas. While I was elated with the speed at which the item was delivered, the game simply does not work. Once choosing the game, inputting his name and selecting "Freeplay", the game does not advance. We cannot select a game to play. We also tried to play the "Story Mode" with the same failure. Unable to select a board, or play at all. I'm very upset that the game does not work, and it's been so long since ordering it, I don't know if I can return it without an invoice, especially since I ordered it from the website. Am am going to put the ToyStory game into the game system and see if that one works, because this one certainly does not. Very disappointed.

There are plenty of games within this game, and all are fun to play again and again. Level of difficulty varies instead of getting harder within each "episode" (i.e.Rescue Squad Mater). Once again, a Cars game has come out (this time with Mater being the main focus), and my son cannot play as Mater. We also have "Race-o-Rama", and it too limits the cars you can use. Suggestion for future games: in "freeplay" modes, allow use of any vehicle if you have unlocked it.

My son is a big Cars fan, he loves Mater's Tall Tales. This game is great because there are so many mini games for each tall tale. Some are easier for kids to do than others but with some help my son caught on quickly. There are also tutorials before you play each game to show you what to do. We love this game!

My son has been playing this game since it came out. Although he has gone through all the levels, he loves to play through it again and again. It is very cool, has lots of "cars" feel to it and is age appropriate.
