We bought for my daughter's birthday. It wouldn't start, then once it started, lasted less than 10 minutes. The battery seemed fine and once we troubleshooted we contacted the protection plan company, who said they would do nothing since it wasn't in their system and to contact Big Toys. There said it was no longer under warranty although it had only been a month. We have been given the runaround and our daugher still has a broken scooter.

My son LOVES this scooter! We bought it for his 12th b'day ( and he paid for part of it himself). It has the potential to go very fast (22 mph) and has very strong acceleration so hold on tight!! In the instruction book it is recommended for kids over 16 yrs, which i can understand, but he and his friends love it and have been using it responsibly. We let him use it only when we are around and the nice thing is he will grow into it- rather than grow out of it. It is sturdy and was fairly straight forward to put together. we have only had it for a week but it seems to hold its charge well and is very sturdy. I like how it holds up to 265 lb so I can ride it down the steet to get the mail! The only confusion is there is a fuse to be installed before charging it initially that was never mentioned in the instructions. (it goes near the battery pack area). i am considering purchasing an extra battery pack for when it wears out and he wants to ride it longer, but it has not lost its charge yet while he's been using it. I am impressed with this product. it was worth the $. I only wish it was available in Canada. I had to buy it in the states and bring it over the border.
