This would have been closer to a 2 star rating had I not have gotten this item on sale. My biggest complaint is the top of the table is flimsy. I definitely would have bought a different train table had I known the mat would have been so thin.

My son was very excited to receive this table. As his mom I like that it is a classy design that fits the decor of our home as opposed to some that are only suited for children's rooms. The directions were easy to follow. I put it together in an hour. I had a little difficulty with constructing the drawer and lining up everything to fit properly. It looks and works well!

My son loved visiting "the train store," so we knew we would love having one of his own. He received this set for Christmas and was in awe over it immediately. Since he is 2 yrs old, he knows who the little blue engine is. He couldn't care less about having all of the brand name pieces. The tracks are all compatible, so we did buy him one blue engine from the brand name set.

You can't beat the price for the table with storage, all the tracks, and plenty of cars, people and trains to keep him busy for hours. He loves pulling the train apart, and it's amazing to watch him try to put it together. I would DEFINITELY NOT glue or attach the train to the table! He will get more play time over YEARS being able to move parts. I admit it is frustrating to see your hard work demolished within seconds. That's most of the fun for them.

I was worried when I read some reviews about tables being scratched. We received ours without a single defect. The dark espresso wood is beautiful, although I would have loved for them to have it finished without screw holes showing. That would not stop me from buying it again and again!! I am totally thrilled with this purchase! It was definitely money well spent!

We bought this train table for our two year old son and it is by far his favorite toy! He can spends hours a day playing with it. It is very durable for his rough and tumble play. It only came with three train cars though and the tracks sometimes come apart.

My 2 boys (4 and 7) received this train table for Christmas last year and they absolutely love it. It is a favorite at our house and they still play with it for hours. (Little girls love it too!) We permanently secured the track to the table with screws and it has held strong for almost a whole year now. We would recommend this to anyone!

We were surprised how fast we put it together, super easy! I'm so happy with all the fun our little one is having, it gives me a chance to get things done. :) The storage down below is great, lots of room!
