I have the first scribblenauts and this is the most recent. You get to use adjectives in this game. For example a giant rainbow flying elephant. Or a small gross ghost. The levels are varied and you get to make things in the create-a-tron and filling in the missing steps like the steps to evalution. This is officially my favorite game I own and I must say, I have good games so this is a huge honor. I definetly recommend this game and this will make your holiday! The levels are never too easy but still challenging and require good problem solving skills. In this game you get to buy hints instead of levels if you get stuck on a level. You also get to make levels but it is more fun. Basically, YOU HAVE TO GET THIS GAME!!!!!!! Enjoy it!

It is a nice game, good to encourage children to spell.. But some of the levels are incredibly easy for young kids.. Some even an educated adult has difficulty. There are some that it seems impossible to complete due to the game simply not recognising particular words..

All levels were finished with about 10 hours of game play..

There was also a moment or two of the screen freezing up... ?? It also was violent at times.

Besides these problems it really is a decent game.. but not good enough to give an extra star..

I love this Game!!! I can create and use almost anything and there is so much you can do! I dug a Deep hole once with a shove, put a hippy in it, filled the hole with dynamite, bombs and grenades, made a shotgun, shot the explosives and of course, the hippy died (I alway kill hippys on that game!). I only played it on my cousins DSI XL but today I am getting a DSI XL and on Saturday I am getting Super Scribblenauts! (Today is Thursday.) But overall, my favourite upgrade form the original Scribblenauts is the fact that you can use adjectives. Example: Flying ridable non flammable flaming winged rainbow hungry giant nice sniper rifle. Conclusion: This is the best game for DS I have ever played.

We got this game for my 7 yr old daughter a year ago and could not be more happy with it. We have a ton of games, but this is one she will still go back to and play often while others have not been touched for SO long. My 4yr old son is learning to read and likes to play it (with my help), esp. in free mode where you get to just spell things and mess around w/ a free board. There is also a spot where you can create your own boards which my daughter likes sometimes. Some boards are annoying with how specific the solution to the puzzle needs to be, but overall this game is incredible and worth every penny!
