We bought this to go in the overhead pocket in our van (dodge 2010) for traveling. My boys can't even hear the sound when the air/heat is turned on or when we are on the freeway which totally defeats the purpose. I know we could you headphones and it would probably be fine, but I'd like to have the option of both. Also after we swivel it to have the screen flat and place it in the overhead pocket the button on the front keeps getting pushed, so it starts FF, REW, Pausing, etc. Definitely wouldn't recommend this or other COBY portable DVD players. Bought this for my daughter for Christmas....lets put it this way we opened it up to realize the dvd disc tray things was broken.. so it wouldn't read a DVD. So I brought it back saying it was broken and they fought it me till I got another one. Same thing again and not even 6 months later the whole thing broke! So something I spent [$] on is a worthless brick!

I bought this dvd player because of the larger screen and price even though the one and only review was not good. Now there will be two negative reviews. This dvd player isn't worth the one star I had to give it. Mine was defective out of the box, the screen wouldn't work. I will be able to return it as it's only been a day. The sound quality is horrible, at full volume it is not loud at all. I did try it with headphones and that helped except the humming of the dvd spinning can be hear through the headphones. There are several buttons on the dvd player that would be nice to know what they did but the instruction manual does not give you any information. All in all it was a waste of time.

I bought this because of the larger screen even though the only review was not good, and now there will be two negative reviews. The product is defective out of the box, the screen doesn't work. Not a big deal I can take it back, but I won't be trying another one. The sound is horrible it is not very loud. I tried it with headphones and that helped, but you can hear the hum of the dvd spinning through the headphones. There are buttons on the player that would be nice to know how/or why to use them but the instructions don't cover anything but the very basics. Sorry, I just can't think of anything possitve to say other than the screen size would have been nice. I gave it one star only because I had to, not even worth that.

Bought product as Christmas gift for our son. The sound has varied since first time use. Sometimes can not hear DVD at all. We were pleased with the size and quality of the screen and picture but product is not usable due to sound problems. Would advise to purchase extended warranty. We are stuck with a product we paid good money for and can not use.
