Okay, so before purchasing this product, I DID read all of the reviews about its poor sound quality and its tendency to fall apart. Because my daughter wanted this toy so badly, I decided to go ahead and buy it anyway. Although the reviews are not completely wrong... the sound quality is certainly not that of a BOSE system, and the little plastic parts (which seem purposely made to pull apart easily) come apart easily... I found this "microphone" perfectly hit the mark as a little kids toy. My daughter can jam out on her own or with MP3 accompaniment. This system will never put any karaoke man out of business, but for a little girl's toy, it is on point. I would recommend this toy to any hello kitty-loving singer-girl!

Bought this for my 2 year old daughter because she loves to sing. Worked great for about 2 weeks and now the mp3 player wont work unless you pull the jack half way out (dangerous), the stand falls apart when you move it and the microphone quit working. Wish i would have saved the box because this would definitely be going back. I guess the saying holds true "you get what you pay for" Save you time, money and frustration... don't buy this :(

My mom bought this for my 3 yr old for a early Easter gift. My daughter loves to sing into a microphone. Thought [$] was a good deal and the thing worked for about a month and the microphone has quit. The rest of it works but nothing else. Of course, we threw away the box, so now we have a broken microphone that we can't do anything with. WOULD NOT BUY!

I thought it was really cute, at first. Yeah, it was cheap plastic, but my daughter wouldn't care. Within 1 month, the piece that the microphone clips into broke. A few months later the microphone stopped working. Now it just sits in the corner of her room and she will play with it occasionally, but it is just like every other toy microphone she has had. She loves to sing and I wanted her to be able to have a mic that actually worked. Hopefully I will have better luck the next time I try to purchase one.

My 5 year old is an Artistic girl who dances sings and acts. It was easy to assemble. It worked fine just as the instructions said. She Loves it. She uses it in the mirros most of the time to see how she looks performing

WHAT A PIECE OF JUNK---Box says lights flash with music. The lights are not working on my item! Microphone stand legs fall off every time you move it. I bought this for my 4 year old daughter for christmas----what a disappointment!!! after putting it together the thing was in pieces in less then 5 minutes!!!! My poor baby only wanted something she could sing into and feel like rock star is left crying

This was a Christmas gift fo my 6 year old daughter, my son is 2 years old. I have now been online looking for a "boy" one for him, my kids loooove this microphone, it was very simple to put together, and sooo easy for both of my children to use.
