This nail clipper has a light to light up your child's hand so that you won't have any problems seeing those tiny little fingers and nails!! I have never accidentally clipped my baby's finger because the light helps so much for me to see! The handle is very comfortable in my hands and the nails that are clipped almost always gets collected inside the nail clipper for me to discard after I'm done. My son is now 2 years old and I clip his nails at least 2x a week because his nails grow so fast and the light is still working!! I don't believe the battery is replaceable but I have no problem buying a new one because it is so worth the price since my first one has lasted for over 2 years and in addition I am using it for my newborn baby now for 2 months. I have 3 of these nail clippers (1 downstairs, 1 upstairs in the nursery, and 1 in the bathroom). I have also bought this product for every mommy friends of mine as a "MUST HAVE" when you have a kid! I LOVE this product!!!

I loved this product absolutely loved it, gave some to my new mom friends saying these are the best thing ever, because even when you're sitting in a well lit room the LED helps cutting nails. I even bought a second one (both were lime green, but same brand, company shape etc, the first one got lost). UNTIL I was cutting her finger nails and the nail clipper broke - which doesn't sound bad until you realize when I say broke, i was cutting my 21 month old nail's and POP metal pieces FLYING - literally flying everywhere, it took me a while to find the small metal rod that is on the top piece that the little hook covers over. I mean and we're talking baby nails - they're not adult nails - i never used it to cut mine. I'm really sad it broke and went out with a bang, I'm glad she was okay and she's not blind, i mean really i'm shocked the pieces went flying. I went to BRU today to buy another pair and noticed there was a blue one - i think this brand must have a patent on the built in flashlight because this is the only one i've seen with a flashlight, so i bought it again, I hope the blue metal rod is thicker.....but in a couple more months when she sits still better I'll switch to a brand that hasn't send shrapnel at my baby. I'll use protective eye glasses from now on when i cut her nails. FYI the battery for the flashlight was still going strong. I don't know how you'd replace the battery.

I read a lot of reviews and came back to the store a lot of times before i buy a clipper for my daughter. And i finally decided to take this one. It was easy to hold and use. Very safe for my baby as her nails are still soft and sensitive. The light helped a lot. Even though i cut her nails in daylight a little light helped a lot.

The best part about this product is the light. It makes it so much easier to cut my son's nails while he is sleeping. I will say it is a little harder to grip the nail than my old clippers from the same brand that I used with my first son 5 years ago.

Perfect for getting his sharp nails while he is sleeping! Easy to hold, and lets off just enough light to see what I'm doing without turning the lights on.

Comments about Safety 1st Sleepy Baby Nail Clippers in Arctic:

I absolutely love these nail clippers! I happened to need some clippers when staying at my sister-in-law's for the holidays a few years ago and she presented me with these. I immediately fell in love and bought my own that very day but just purchased a new set to replace the one I recently managed to break. I had a fidgety newborn and clipping his nails while he was awake was near impossible. I always feared cutting him especially while trying to clip his nails in low light. Having the light feature allowed me to clip his nails while he was asleep and in the complete dark if necessary. Now that he is nearing 3 years old he will sit still while I clip away but the added light feature gives me some extra visibility and peace of mind.

This is the best nail clipper for ages 1 to 3 years old. It's very convenient to use in the dark because of the built in LED lights in the front of the nail clipper. I use this nail clipper with my 2 year old toddler when she's sleeping at night and the best time to use it. It's very safe and easy to use and gives me confidence to cut my daughter finger nails with out any mess or fuzz.
