Comments about Learning Curve 1001175 The First Years American Red Cross Hospital Style Nasal Aspirator:

I don't know why others had such a hard time with this aspirator - in my opinion, it's the best. I've tried many aspirators, especially since my little one HATES mucous in her nose. I actually just bought another spare of this one! Those who are having a hard time squeezing: put the aspirator in warm/hot water and wear it in a little before using (wait to use it on child until it's not hot and you get all the water out). Once you use this a few times, the plastic softens up.
My daughter is very sensitive to smells and touch (funny enough, this aspirator smells really good - it doesn't have that plastic, new smell. In fact, my daughter asked when I bought the new one, "Does it smell good like the other one?" I never noticed it smelled until she told me! It is a nice smell!) We bought the first one when she was an infant, and the second now that she is 3. She actually requests that we 'get my boogies' when she is congested and will only let this one near her nose! The tip is designed so that new parents, and those who's kids hate the aspirators and squirm, don't shove the thing too far into their noses! The tip is perfect to show you exactly how far you should go. You must first squeeze the bulb well before placing it into their noses, never squeeze once inside! The best part is the plug at the bottom that allows you to open the aspirator and clean it more thoroughly. No other aspirator I've found has that! I would def. recommend this to a friend and am actually buying it for a family member who is expecting. When I saw the reviews, I felt compelled to write one myself!

Comments about Learning Curve 1001175 The First Years American Red Cross Hospital Style Nasal Aspirator:

I bought this nasal aspirator just to have a second on hand (one for the nursery, one for the diaper bag). I got it when out and about during a time when my son had a bad cold and really needed it. I grabbed this one (though not the brand I wanted/hand at home), and totally regret making the purchase. I would've been better off without it. The rubber ball end is so extremely hard and difficult to squeeze. I'm shocked this product is even made. Who did they test it on or test it with?! Neither my husband nor I could squeeze this well enough to get any suction. Disappointed!

Comments about Learning Curve 1001175 The First Years American Red Cross Hospital Style Nasal Aspirator:

This is probably the worst possible nose bulb. Just do not waste your money on it.
            Negatives:
            1. The bulb volume is too small, so it can't create much of a vacuum.
            2. The rubber is too hard and just does not have enough room to squeeze. I am a man and find it impossible to squeeze.
            3. The nose tube is too small (inside diameter), which makes it even harder to create any air flow and suction the mucus out of the baby.
It is obvious no one ever tested this product when designed.
            Pros: NONE.

I was hoping for one better than the blue hospital aspirator so I purchased this one. It only took a second to realize that it had no suction. The rubber was so hard I was surprised that it did not crack when it was squeezed.

I began using this on my 4 month old. I've been happy with this. I tried 2 other aspirators and this one has been my favorite. I also like how it has a tab in the bulb part to help clean it.
