The ERGObaby Heart2Heart Infant Insert in Galaxy Grey Print, in combination with our ERGObaby carrier, enables you to buy one carrier to assist you through all the stages of your baby's growth. The ERGObaby Organic Infant Insert is a specially padded and shaped cushion that can be quickly and easily placed in the carrier and readjusted as needed. This design easily enables parents to ensure that their newborn is positioned correctly on the pillow, keeping pressure off the developing sacrum, and supports the development of the spine and hips. The ERGObaby Organic Infant Insert snaps closed around the infant, holding the baby in a cozy, protected environment close to the heart, as well as in an ergonomically correct natural sitting position.

I got this ahead of time, which I really shouldn't have. I had a big baby, so he only used this a couple of times before he didn't need it anymore. Also, I was very afraid he would overheat in this in warm weather, (it reminds me of a bed comforter). However, it would be very good for small babies/preemies.

Works great even with my 5 lb premie. He bundles up nicely, good neck support and room to breath too. Today we went skate skiing and he slept right through it.

I got this item after the baby was born because my baby decided to see the world a month early. I was contemplating if I should get this if the baby was full term previously but with th baby being small I ordered as soon as I was out of the hospital. Even though it is for a Ergo Baby Carrier it worked on our Babyjorn we got from another family member. We are expecting the Ergo Carrier as a gift but during the first three weeks it was a nice snug fit for my 6 pound baby. you do have to roll a blanket(muslin) in front of her so she doesn't bob her head too much. And I wouldn't recommend a long day out since the baby's legs going to be snug in there. But for 1-2 hour run our baby was doing fine. And I even got compliments from random people. I would love to recommend to Ergo to make a little ridge for the baby's tush to seat on.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

It works like it's supposed to. Plus, it's nice and well-made. Too bad it doesn't come standard with every Ergo carrier -- considering that it is an accessory that is used for only the first 4-5 months of the baby's life and the carrier is already pricey.

I'm perfectly happy with the infant insert for our Ergo carrier. I had a different carrier with our first baby, and though I liked it pretty well, the Ergo with the infant insert completely blows it out of the water! From the first moment I put it on, our newborn was snuggled against me and was obviously comfortable. I would recommend the Ergo and accessories to anyone!
