This was easy to install and has never come off. I yank on it pretty hard when I pull it down to adjust and see my daughter in the backseat, and it won't budge. We have been using it for years as my daughter has special needs and I need to be able to check on her frequently. It rotates easily to get the best view so whoever happens to be driving can adjust it to suit their eye level. It doesn't retract all the way under the other mirror, so it's never completely hidden but that's not a problem for me.

The directions on how to attach this are terrible. I almost gave up thinking that it just didn't fit our vehicle for some reason. After 30-45min I finally figured it out. Then it worked great for the next 10 months. Recently the mirror stopped holding its position. We drive over the slightest bump in the road and the mirror moves. We also found that this only works if your child is seated in the middle seat. You can't see behind the passenger's or driver's seat. This worked for almost a year but we will be replacing it with something more versatile.

Not worth it

Comments about Safety 1st Flip Down Childview Mirror:
The mirror itself was great, but the adhesive on the velcro would melt in the sun and the mirror was on my car seat daily. Maybe this would be OK for people who don't have their vehicles out in the sun while they work. This was happening all late winter and early spring when the temperatures where only as high as maybe 60 degree.

Not worth a penny

Don't bother with these. The adhesive melts off the rearview mirror so they don't stick. This was on 70 degree day so not that hot. The are useless.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

It works well. Kind of large mounting base to stick on back of a mirror. Folds wrong way when not in use, so it just stays down. Still worth buying.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
You get what you pay for.

We were looking for something similar to the conversation mirrors that come in the minivans these days for our SUV so that we could see what's going on with our 5-yr old in the backseat. This mirror was cheap and attaches to the back of the rear view mirror easily, but the "mirror" is really made of plastic and has really bad waves in it causing distortion in the reflection and the sticky material used to attach to the rear view mirror came off on the first warm spring day. That said, it was only a couple dollars and will do until I find a better solution, but I wouldn't buy another one.

I like that this mirror allows me to keep my eyes on the road and on my precious cargo in the backseat. Easy to install, easy to use.
Works well, but looks like a fun house
By Mercy's Mommy

This one attaches to the bottom/back of rear view mirror to face my forward-facing car seat. Drawback: my husband says it looks like a fun house mirror- the mirror portion itself is not good quality, but it does accomplish letting you see your LO without turning around or adjusting your rear view mirror.
Get's the job done.
It was very helpful, but the mirror is not very clear as I wish it to be. But it serves it's purpose.
Does the Job

A little difficult to move around w/o it falling off the velcro, but works really well otherwise. So far pleased with it. Gave it 3 stars because it doesn't move very easily.
