Our Closer to Nature li'l sippee spill-proof first cup is intuitively designed for a leak proof, bite free easy transition from breast to cup. Made of soft silicone to be easy on tender gums, our integrated valve was designed by a physicist to provide goof-proof, easy drinking, and yet remain truly spill-proof. I love this cup! I was having the hardest time getting one of my twin girls weaned off the bottle. I tried every cup, and she would just throw them in the floor and cry. At 15 months, we decided to go cold turkey, and would not give her a bottle, so she just stopped drinking milk! She would drink water out of a cup, but not milk. I came across this cup and thought maybe it would work since it was so similar to her bottle. This is the only cup that worked! She is now weaned and drinking her milk like before! Great product for weaning from Tommee Tippee bottles. They are a little expensive for one cup. I have since learned that the two pack training cups with the silicone spouts will fit the TT bottle rings too and are a little cheaper. The price is worth it, no more bottles!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

My 5 1/2 month old daughter used this for the first time tonight - she loved it! She drank two ounces of water (First time having water, too!). She cried when I took it away from her. She enjoys the soft top and biting on it (as she is teething).

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

My 7 month old daughter loves this sippee. The first few times we tried it she refused. She drinks out of it like a champ now. Yes it does come out fast, but babies will learn how to slow it down. now i just wish they sold the nipple, ring, and cap seperatley so i can use the cups from her regular bottles.

This is a good cup for a baby just learning. It also comes with a cover to keep the silicone spout clean. The problem with "truly" spill-proof cups, the kind with a valve, is that most babies don't understand they have to suck, and suck hard, to get any liquid out. Especially breastfed babies that have rarely or never had a bottle, like my second daughter. I tried many cups before this one really seemed to do the trick. Another reviewer stated that the liquid comes out too fast; it is true that the liquid does come out easily, but that is why I like this cup! The baby just has to gently suck or compress the spout and liquid flows out. Yes, my daughter got a little choked the first couple of times she tried it, but it didn't take her long to figure things out and adjust to the flow. Because the spout only has to be compressed for liquid to flow, it is not really spill-proof; but since I'm only giving my daughter water (she is 11 months old and still nursing, so the cup is just for learning purposes) I don't mind spills. When she starts on cow's milk and juice I will probably have to find something else that doesn't leak as easily. Otherwise a great first cup!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I bought it because i'm starting to take my daughters bottle away and i love the tommee tippee bottles.It says 4 months plus but too much comes out and she ends up spilling her milk all over the place.I would not buy this product again.
