Our Closer to Nature li'l sippee spill-proof first cup is intuitively designed for a leak proof, bite free easy transition from breast to cup. Made of soft silicone to be easy on tender gums, our integrated valve was designed by a physicist to provide goof-proof, easy drinking, and yet remain truly spill-proof. And the one-piece valve is super easy to clean and comes with a hygienic cover to keep clean when out and about. The top and spout are interchangeable with all the li'l sippee cups as well as the Closer to Nature bottles. My son is a year old and I agree with other reviewer. I consider it much older. My son has tried four or five other brands of sipper's and this is his favorite. We started using it around 9 months and at first it took him a bit but he prefers the soft sippy part. It does not leak unless the child presses down on the sippy part. Which happens occasionally during meal time but it is not much at all. The only con for me is that some juices stain the soft lid for example carrot juice. We still love it and will continue to use it just for darker juices and use our new ones for other liquids. I love this cup!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This sipper cup was a let down at first since the flow was too fast (considering it says 4months+ on the packaging, but once he was 10 months we got it back out thinking flow wouldn't be as big of deal and we LOVE the cup. It's helping him transition to sipper a whole lot easier. I just think the packaging should say an older age to begin this cup. It's not like a breast flows THIS fast.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
