If there were a rating below one star, I would have selected it. The assembly design for this piece of furniture will severely test your patience. Most of the construction is accomplished using two inch hex head bolts dropped through a narrow channel and tightened with an allen wrench. Sounds simple enough; the problem is there is only enough lateral space in the channel to turn the bolt about a quarter turn. The least these guys could have done was to include a ratchet wrench designed to fit the available space to avoid having to remove the allen wrench after each incremental turn. Each bolt takes 8-10 minutes to secure and that's conservative based on skill level. Advisory to moms: regardless of how nice this piece looks in the store, please don't subject your loved ones to this assembly.

We just got this dresser and i loveeee it! I was worried about the condition it would come in considering the other reviews. I got it shipped to the store and it was in GREAT condition. The only thing bad about it was all the assembly, but my husband did that while I "supervised." The stain was perfect all the way around, no dents or dings. The wood is a soft wood so it may ding easily, but it is cherry and it is usually a soft wood.

Upon opening up the box to construct the dresser, it was very apparent that this item was poorly crafted. The wood was warped, making it very difficult to assemble (5+) hours. The hardware (screws, pegs, etc.) were almost impossible to properly insert (each screw took about 30 attempts), which cause the wood to crack in multiple areas. We are very disappointed with the quality and construction of this product. The outside view looks nice, while the interior is below standard.

This product is even more beautiful in person than online! We almost bought a similar set which would have costed way more but I'm so glad we didn't! Some areas of furniture was lightly sprayed with stain color. Some bumps while completing assemble but looks great and I'm 100% happy with this purchase!!!

Per my crib review the Brayden set was bought for our second child after we bought the Vickie set from Sorelle for our first. The Brayden series has a beautiful color to it and all the pieces match well. The pieces are packaged carefully and no parts were damaged even though our box looked like it was dropped off the back of the UPS truck. Assembly is a challenge, but you get used to it rather quickly (especially if you just assembled the matching dresser). Assembly time was 1 hour and 45 minutes for me (a mechanical engineer) but included time to replace one of the screw inserts that I blew out and reversing part "H" as it was labeled incorrectly before I could screw on the backer. I would STRONGLY recommend throwing away the allen wrench that comes with the hardware and buying or borrowing a t-handled, 4 mm allen wrench like the one I have pictured below. This will save you a ton of time. Also, when you think a screw or bolt is tight, STOP, and don't tighten it any more. The "wood" is of low quality and you will strip out the hole almost instantly. Overall, it's not high quality as our Vickie set from Sorelle but still a good piece for the price you pay.

This piece of furniture is very nice, once you get it together. My husband put it together, and it took around 4 hours. There are tons of pieces, and the alan wrench included was useless. If you have your own set of alan wrenches just use them from the beginning and it will knock about 2 hours off building it.

My husband and I were thrilled with the sturdiness of this piece of furniture, until we got to the drawers. The drawers are not the same quality and are flimsy little pieces of wood... we were disapointed.

Overall- for the price this dresser is nice and sturdy. But, you need patience to put it together for sure.

After reading all of the reviews, I expected the assembly to be a complete nightmare. It actually wasn't too difficult! Maybe because the reviews gave me very low expectations, it seemed a lot easier than it really was. One thing I did to make things easier was make a post-it note for each group of bolts/screws and stuck them on the floor. I then laid that particular group of bolts on the matching post-it. This sped up the process quite a bit since I didn't have to try and memorize which bolt was #3, second guess, go back to the manual, etc. The other tip is that the allen wrench is specially designed with a notch cut out of one end. They did this so you can insert the wrench into the bolts at an angle, and still screw them in quickly (without having to remove and re-insert the wrench into the bolt a hundred times). If you try to use the short end, you'll be making numerous quarter-turns per bolt (about 16 bolts) and it will drive you nuts. I swore at the engineers internally until I realized it after the first bolt. From there it was a very simple project. I finished it altogether in about 2 hours.I saw that some people received damaged pieces and the holes weren't drilled correctly, but I guess we lucked out. All the pieces were clean and new, and everything went perfectly. It turned out to be a beautiful piece for the money. The instructions aren't SUPER explanatory. I got more from the pictures once I read the instructions to figure out which bolts to use. The only other negatives I've seen is that the drawer bottoms are a little flimsy, but I hope to reinforce those so they don't bow too badly down the road...And that they don't include any of the soft corner pads to keep the door and drawers from slamming wood-on-wood when you close them. I can pick those up anywhere, but it would help if they included them.

I bought this dresser with matching crib and a mattress for the crib for my daughter and son-in-law for their new baby which will arrive in October. The furniture and mattress are fine but We were very upset with the delivery. I was told when I called Babies R Us that I would be called before delivery so that I could arrange for someone to be at the house when it came. My daughter came home one day to find all three pieces outside her door where they could have be stolen or ruined in the expected downpours that day. My husband and I had to go over and get the pieces into the house. We made it just in time as it started to rain. I would never order furniture items from Babies R Us again unless I was guarenteed to be notified and the furniture to be carried up to the nursery.

I read a lot of the comments about this product and I was very scared to about putting this together. But I must say it only took me 1 hour and 30 minutes and the only reason it took so long is because stopped to tell my wife how easy it was. I was recommend buying this from the store and letting them order it because by the looks of the other comments when you order it online it is always something wrong with the product. I had no problems with the product at all no cracks, no broken pieces nothing.
