Help keep baby, and your baby's tummy, happy with these fun, colorful Philips AVENT Classic 9-Ounce Polypropylene BPA-Free bottles. The Classic bottles have gone through research and clinical trials and have been proven to reduce fussiness* and colic**, so your little one can rest peacefully with a full, satisfied belly. With extra-soft, single-hole Newborn-Flow nipples and 9-ounce capacities, the Classic bottles are ideal after baby's first month, but can be used for breastfed babies of any age. And, since the Classic BPA-free bottles can be mixed and matched with other Classic AVENT pumps, nipples, and cups, they can grow with baby whether you are breastfeeding, bottle feeding, or combining the two.
Three Classic blue 9-ounce feeding bottles, three Classic dome caps, three Classic adapter rings, and three Classic Slow-Flow nipples.
*A clinical study demonstrated that at two weeks of age, babies fed with the AVENT bottle showed less fussing than babies fed with another leading bottle.
**At two weeks of age, babies fed with the AVENT bottle showed a trend to less colic than babies fed with a conventional bottle: Colic, Crying, Fussing & Feeding (A non-randomized, prospective observational study) by Alan Lucas, MD. Department of Pediatrics, University of Cambridge. November, 1994.
Help baby snooze peacefully and fill your baby's tummy with milk, and not air, with this Classic AVENT bottle. The Classic bottle features a two-piece anti-colic system, with a Classic AVENT nipple and adaptor ring. As baby sucks, the unique skirt on the nipple flexes to allow air into the bottle and to prevent any vacuum build-up. A gentle whistling sound and floating air bubbles show that the air is being released into the bottle-and not into baby's tummy. This means less fussing* and colic**.
The Philips AVENT Classic Slow-Flow Nipple is a dual-hole, extra-soft silicone nipple intended for infants older than one month, but it can be used by breastfed babies of all ages. Your baby can control the flow of milk in a way similar to breastfeeding, which helps reduce spit-up and overeating. The nipple's natural shape promotes proper latch-on and makes it easier for your baby to switch between breast and bottle.
Like all Classic AVENT bottles, this bottle works interchangeably with other Classic AVENT pumps, bottles, and cups. As baby grows, simply switch between different AVENT nipples, bottles, and cup styles in the Classic line to meet baby's changing needs.
To make this process easy, there's a number imprinted on the side of AVENT nipples so you can quickly identify each nipple's flow.
With three simple parts, a bottle, a nipple, and an adaptor ring, the Classic BPA-free bottle is hygienic and easy to put together. It also comes with a Classic dome cap that seals securely, so there won't be any messy spills during mixing or traveling.
The Classic bottle features a wide shape that makes it easy to hold, while its wide-neck design makes filling a cinch. The side of the bottle features clear markings so you can give baby the right amount and keep track of how much food is going into that little tummy.

I agree that these bottles have their moments. After researching bottles, I was torn between the Dr. Brown's and these, so I bought several of each. My son, who is now almost 7 weeks old, seems to do much better with the Avent bottles. I think the wider nipple is better for him. People complained that the bottles leak. I read a review and someone said that you have to turn the top counter-clockwise until it clicks twice, then turn it the other way to tighten it. It's true that this works...MOST of the time. There are times I turn it so it clicks and I think it's on perfectly fine, and then when I shake it to mix the formula, it leaks. I've decided it's worth the small amount of aggravation when this happens since my son is doing well on these bottles. I also have so many of them and don't want to spend a fortune trying out a 3rd bottle when these are doing the job. I also like how the cap fits tightly against the nipple, so you don't have to use one of those plastic discs when packing bottles in a diaper bag...just cap the bottle, and the formula/water doesn't spill (unlike the Dr. Brown's that require the use of the plastic discs).

I have been using these from day one with my son. The nipples are great but the bottle is ok. The ring in the system is supposed to prevent leaks and reduce air bubbles. The bubbles are non existent but the leaks are not. No matter how tight, as soon as you shake the bottle to mix formula the leaks begin. You might get lucky once in a while but not too often. I only stayed with them because we got plenty form our baby shower and my son does really well with the wide based nipple.

About Me First Time Parent
I have purchased the classic bottles and the natural bottles and have had problems with the classic bottles. I bought 2 different sets, this one and the one with crabs on them. The crab ones are fine, but in this set, each bottle leaks. It isn't a small leak, it is enough that I don't bother using them, so I feel like purchasing these were a waste of money. I haven't had a single problem with the natural bottles, and will be sticking with those from now on.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

i love these bottles.at first they did leak a bit but i wasn't tightening them enough.now i don't have a problem with them at all.they are easy to wash and my son doesn't end up sucking air into his stomach.he seems to enjoy the wider nipple and they are a good size.

Never have an issue leaking and they don't have too many parts that make cleaning an issue!
I love these bottles!

These are the 3rd type of bottles I bought for my son and I love them! The last ones leaked like crazy and the nipples were too wide! Since we stared using these we have no complaints!
Avent 9oz bottles
I absolutely love these bottles. I find that my son isn't gassy at all. They're so easy to clean, not to many pieces and they don't leak!!! Simply the best!!
My son loves these bottles

My son is 4 weeks old and I bought all Avent bottles for him because my other son (who is now 4) also loved the Avent bottles. We did have the Dr. Brown bottles for a long time with my first son but switched due to convenience. Avent has a thicker body style which is easier for me to hold. The nipples on the Avent bottle were more life like to my son's liking as well and he seemed to latch better to the bigger nipple. I absolutely would recommend them to friends and family for their little ones. They definitely help with colic and have less pieces for cleaning. Which, as new moms, we have no extra time for all those extra pieces while we're loving on our newest member of the family.

I use this product everyday and my son loves them. The color is great for daycare. I can always pick out his bottles from others. The only thing that I don't like is that I can't find a bigger 12oz bottle in blue.
