Product Description

The new 2010 Ergo Caboose Stand-On Tandem Stroller in Black from Joovy is better than ever! Thanks to our great customer feedback, this stylish modern stand-on tandem stroller has been fine tuned.

First, weve improved the canopy's front sun visor to include a rigid frame that cannot be blown around by the wind. Its still giant by stroller standards and it provides the great sun protection that Joovy is known for. The innovative rear canopy (removable) was invented by Joovy to give the rear child full sun protection and the zippered periscope top allows the rear child to stand. Kids love it and think its cool!

Second, we tweaked the twin piston front wheel suspension. This improves the performance of the twin sealed bearing rubber front wheels and gives your children a comfortable smooth ride with the least amount of effort by the pushing parent. Nothing rolls better than an Ergo Caboose!

Third, we updated the front seat recline mechanism with a magnetic recline lock for easy seat adjustments on this award winning stroller seat. The transitional mesh seat is the most advanced stroller seat available today. This ergonomically designed seat helps eliminate pressure points by evenly distributing the childs weight across the entire mesh seat; this technology keeps working as your child grows to the maximum size accommodated.

To make the care givers life easier the stroller has a swing open front tray for easy buckling and unbuckling of your child in the front seat. The tray can be removed and the individual cup holders can be installed for older children.

The basket is huge and easily accessible; the rear bench seat flips open for full access. The outside of the basket has large mesh pockets for easy storage of small items that are quickly accessible. The rear car seat attachment is included and its location is awesome... moms love having their newborn in the rear of the stroller within arms reach.

Features

  • Ergonomically engineered mesh front seat provides excellent support and comfort while being breathable
  • Universal car seat adapter (included) accommodates an infant car seat in the rear
  • Removable swing-open child tray and 2 individual cup holders included
  • Multi-functional sun canopy, rear canopy provides full sun protection (removable)
  • Flip-up rear bench allows for easy access to the huge storage basket

I bought this stroller to replace a Graco Quattro Duo, which did not work for us. I currently have a 1 year old and a 4 year old, and bought this when they were about two months old and 3 years old. The regular double stroller did not work well with my 3 year old.

I chose this over the Ultralight because my small baby could be up high and next to me instead of way out in front, and because my 3 year old would (at 4) be too tall for the Ultralight. He is 45 inches and has plenty of room in the Ergo.

I used to use this all the time when my daughter was still in her infant carrier. Once she got out of that, I usually only use it when we go to museums, zoos, or big outings. Otherwise my 4 year old doesn't need a ride, and I stick with a Peg Perego P3 since he can still climb on the back steps if he wants to. However, I could not part with the Ergo for those long outings! My 4 year old would never make it around the whole zoo. There just isn't any other option out there for a "double" that can fit my tall 4 year old.

Now that they are older, my one year old can actually sit in the back part and my 4 year old can sit in front sometimes. My 1 year old is very secure in back because of the way the seatbelt fits on her. Both of the kids want to sit in the back because of the way the canopy is. It's like a secret hideout.

We took this to Disney and it was wonderful. Very easy to park, etc., and not bad on the monorail or buses. Much better than taking two umbrella strollers because it could carry all our stuff, and when just one child didn't want to be in a stroller, no adult had to carry a child and push an empty stroller.

I FAR prefer it to a side-by-side, which I often see people struggling with in museums and small stores. I have compared both side by side and with my children being very different in size and stroller-need, this sit-n-stand works so well.

I had the original version, which was not as refined. Mine was replaced for free because the seatback kept flopping back, and the new version is much improved.

I know some people view the mesh seat as uncomfortable, but the kids don't get sweaty in it and they both fall asleep in it, so it must be good. My 4 year old loves it. I have the extra cover because I felt like my infant would need it, but it wasn't really necessary. It's nice in the winter since it adds some warmth.

The storage basket is HUGE and it's pretty easy to get to. The canopy can push all the way forward and I can use the front seat for extra shopping bags because the canopy will hold everything in. I would not be able to fit extra clothes, diapers, lunch, snacks, and coats for the entire family, and my diaper bag, in most other stroller's baskets.

The parent tray is soft and at first I thought it was kind of weird, but it actually holds a medium soda/straw as long as it's not completely full.
This stroller is not small. It is highly functional, but it is not an Ultralight. If you NEED compact and do not have very tall children, I would recommend the Ultralight.

It can be a pain to get up curbs until you practice a few times.

This stroller was expensive but the build quality is good and the company backs up their products. I feel like we have gotten our money's worth from it because it is so good at what it does. I've comes to hate every other stroller I've had, but even after over a year I still really like this one.

Horrible stroller - I have 2 little ones and thought that I could put the 2 year old up front in the seat and put the baby in the back facing me. I like the idea of the baby facing you in the car seat - but I coudn't see or hear my child in the front seat. The seat was uncomfortable and the "cushy" seat was extra. Way too big and heavy for me - plus I don't like not seeing my kids. Returned and bought the baby jogger city select - best stroller ever!!

Comments about Joovy Ergo Caboose Stand-On Tandem Stroller - Black:

I researched for months and settled on this for my 2.5 yr old and 4 month old. It fits my on board air safety 1st car seat. Woo hoo. It's heavy but to be expected for a double stroller. The other sit and stands were so flimsy to me. This is the Cadillac of sit and stands. Worth every penny. Turns great, easy to put together, very sturdy. Love, love, love this stroller.

Comments about Joovy Ergo Caboose Stand-On Tandem Stroller - Black:

This stroller is just what I was looking for. I have a 3 year old and a 10 month old so I wanted something they could both use. A double stroller was out of the question because my oldest won't stay seated that long and I didn't want to be pushing it around half empty. With this stroller my oldest can basically come and go with ease. It is bulky, but what double or sit and stand stroller isn't? Ii love how heavy duty it is as well.

I LOVE this stroller! I was a little hesitant to buy it because of the mixed reviews I saw on other websites, but I decided to go for it anyways and I'm so happy I did. I have a 22 month old and a 2 month old. I wanted this stroller because it's the only sit and stand type of stroller that puts the infant carrier in the back so my older child can still have a seat. I have a chicco infant seat and it fits wonderfully. I love how we'll be able to grow with this stroller because it is so versatile. It is a big stroller but it's worth it because of the comfort for my kiddos. I was surprised on how easy it is to push with both kids loaded on. Quality product!!!! It's a must for two kids close in age!

Comments about Joovy Ergo Caboose Stand-On Tandem Stroller - Black:

We bought this stroller to accommodate our 18 month old and a newborn. We tested it out today and were very pleased. It is very easy to set up / fold down and drives really well. The storage compartment is huge and really accessible - especially with the side access and extra slots.

We have only two concerns thus far:
The infant car seat adapter seems to sit at an odd angle. The seat is secure but seems like it needs to be leaning further back than it does.
Also, although we knew that the front seat only had 2 recline options, looking at the stroller now it would have been nice to have the option of full recline. We realize that the reason it doesn't is to that it doesn't interfere with the second child in the jumpseat but it would be nice to make that decision for yourself.

Overall, we are very happy with the stroller and would definitely recommend it to growing families.

Comments about Joovy Ergo Caboose Stand-On Tandem Stroller - Black:

After reading every review out there on double strollers I had narrowed the decision down to the Joovy Ergo and Joovy Ultralight. Having a newborn and a two year old I decided to go with the Joovy Ergo and am glad that I did. I love the fact that my newborn can be closest to me and my two year old loves riding in the front seat. It will be great because by the time my youngest can sit in the front my two year old will be ready to ride in the back. My two year old is big for his age and he fits comfortably and there is enough room for growth. While the Ergo is heavy, if you pick up a 34 pound toddler like me it is manageable. I do need to take the canopy off to fit it into the trunk of my small Volvo, but it comes off easily enough. It is a bit long and for someone as short as me (5') it can be somewhat tricky to maneuver at first but you get the hang of it. It does have a large basket which can store a ton of stuff. I was very concerned about spending all the money on the Ergo but I am glad that I did as it is worth every penny!

Comments about Joovy Ergo Caboose Stand-On Tandem Stroller - Black:

I live in Sweden and I had this stroller brought to me from the US bc it was the best I could find. I was not let down!
The main reason this stroller appealed to me is bc my infant car seat (not joovy) was compatible with the infant car seat adapter and having a travel system was necessary! I have had it now for over a year. I have traveled from Sweden to the US and all over for a month with the stroller and I love it!
The only downside is that when putting it in my trunk (a large trunk) it is a little too long with the canopy, so I have to remove it.
            I would absolutely recommend it!!

This tandem stroller is by far the best I've seen out there. It is very durable and not flimsy like the ones that are being sold in store. We actually went to the Joovy warehouse in Irvine just check it out to make sure this was the stroller we wanted to get and it definitely met all our expectations. What I love about this stroller is:
            1) my new baby girl is closer me when I'm pushing my two kids around. (yes it comes with a car seat adapter)
            2) the recline on the front seat still let's my 3 yr old boy sleep peacefully
            3) large basket and easily accessible
            4) easy to steer
            5) very sturdy
            6) we love that it will turn into a sit n stand type stroller when my little girl is old enough to sit in the front seat
            7) large canopy
            8) changeable front tray --> cup holders
            9) you can purchase some great accessories for everyday needs
            10) looks great
