I just received this in the mail and as soon as I started messing with it I was so impressed. It is so soft, has many options for your childs height and is alot bigger than most car seats. I say this because my two and a half year old who is 37 inches tall and 35 pounds is paying in it. She may hang out a little bit but you can see the difference between regular car seats & this one. My son will love it. I'm so happy.

I bought this carseat/travel system bc it looked and seemed the safest. It's definitely bigger than your average infant carseat and won't fit it the front of the shopping carts like most but it's a small price to pay for the peace of mind knowing my child is protected all around. I loved the side impact air and it was a big factor in us picking thus carseat out. I just bought a new safety 1st convertable carseat for my 1 yr old bc we loved the infant one so much. My child is less than 20 pounds and can definitely still use the infant one we have but I thought it was time for a "big kid" seat since she won't stay asleep in the carrier anymore if we take it out of the car.
I recommend this product and will continue to buy safety 1st products.

Probably the best car seat I've ever purchased (2 for my other children) and many more as gifts.

The "air" cushions are soft to the touch and make me feel like my daughter is safely snug between them. Easy to wash and clean.

Fairly light to carry. Easy to assemble in the car with the reinforcement hooks.

As a first time dad who didn't mind spending whatever it cost to make my son secure, comfortable, and stylish; this was hands down the best car seat I could have bought. No matter what car seat you buy their going to all be "heavy". This does not mean that it is 40 pounds. They will all have some weight being that you are holding a baby in it. This seat is stylish, secure, and comfortable for the baby. He is very snuggled and secure. It is very easy to adjust and the base in the car is very easy to set up. The cushions that are around my newborn help to hold his head and body in place when I'm moving him in and out of the car and walking up the stairs with him. As he gets bigger I am able to adjust the straps and cushions according to the size of my son and remove them if he gets to big or to just clean. The carseat fits perfectly in the back of my car with my 4 year old (has a booster seat) and my wife who wants to be around the baby should he start crying. It was well worth the [$] and I would definitely recommend this to a friend and buy again.

I originally paid nearly the same amount for a Graco Snugride Carseat that did NOT last, because by the time my daughter was 5 months old, her head was at the top of the seat and her weight was only 2 pounds away from the weight limit!
I started looking at convertable carseats and just didn't like the fact that I would have to wake up my sleeping baby by taking her out of a carseat.
I found this carseat and could have KICKED myself for not buying it in the first place!! It would have easily fit my preemie daughter when she was born, it adjusts VERY easily and is NOT bulky or heavy - even though it holds up to a 35 pound baby! It is SO comfortable too! The padding isn't bulky, yet is amazingly soft and feels like a little pillow top bed ;) My daughter who HATED being in a carseat (or anywhere for that matter - since she had colic) LOVES this seat and now LOVES to be in a car! I NEVER write reviews...but I am SO impressed with this carseat that I wish they would have come out sooner - I would have purchased it for all five of my kids!
If I had to think of a downfall to mention - that as of yet - it doesn't come with a fancy matching stroller - although I found the snap and go stroller works great AND is less bulky then those fancy strollers anyway and I am able to open and close it with one hand!
Best of All - it is one of the safest carseats on the market right now! AND it's made right here in the USA :)
Don't waste your money on another carseat - this one will last all the way until he/she can sit forward facing!
I will be purchasing the same 02 forward facing seat when it comes back in stock!

OH I forgot to mention one of my favorite features - it has a compartment inside to help you Keep your seatbelt tight - unlike those annoying "locking clips" all you do is pull the carseat strap through it shut the compartment and it stays tight! It also has the perfect seat indicator button...so you know your seat is perfectly level in your car! GREAT SEAT - I can't say enough wonderful things about it!

We bought this car seat for our duaghter because it seemed like the safest seat available and it was the Consumer Reports top pick. It's super easy to install and when we have to put her in and take her out of the vehicle she doesn't wake up. It's so comforable that we put her in it to sleep at other peoples houses. She fit the newborn insert until she was around 2 months old. She seems to overheat a lot when we hold her but the seat doesn't make her all sweaty.

One of the only issues is that it is heavy, and a little longer that most infant seats.

I did a LOT of research before purchasing this car seat. I just had my 3rd baby and wanted the best available in the market to date. This was it! Britax is supposidely the higher rated one, but it is PRICEY! I care about safety of course, but I also care about the easy installation, and the longevity of the product! This carseat is a few inches longer than any other seat out there, so your growing baby doesn't have his feet dangling down when he's only 6months old (I got a tall baby). It is bigger than most, I have a van and it fits fine, I put it in the MIDDLE not behind any driver or passenger.Would of gave it 5 stars, but SOMEtimes the base does not get released from the seat when you are trying to take it out at an angle. Overall, I would highly recommend.

We looked at A LOT of car seats, and this one was the most sleek looking, gender neutral, and very easy to use. It was also relatively lightweight compared to others in it's category. Paired with the safety 1st stroller frame... it was the perfect set needed for our infant.

I saw some reviews complained about it being too big, but it fit in my car easily with someone still able to sit in the front passenger seat.

We love that you can use the seat without the base (Grandparents, Aunts etc) can take her without having to worry about installing the base! Even when we first brought our daughter home she fit perfectly with the infant insert (included). I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this car seat I am absolutely 100% satisfied, and I recommend it to everyone I know!
