We looked at a lot of car seats before we had our daughter. I also did a LOT of research on different car seats and travel systems. My husband was very picky about the mechanics of them as well as the material. We both agreed on this one and 1 year later, we couldn't be happier. Not only does this car seat work for a newborn, but it goes up to 35 lbs!! Our daughter is very small, so she is 11 months old and only 17 lbs.

This car seat has gotten a lot of use, and is still in GREAT shape. Some other people said that they have had problems with the quality of the material, falling apart, etc. but it sounds like an isolated case.. I would have taken it back or called the manufacturer. I know some people think it is a little heavy as well...but the way I see it is, any car seat is going to be heavy with a baby in it. And as long as it keeps her safe and comfortable, I really don't care how heavy it is... The straps are extremely easy to adjust. We have put the cover in the washing machine several times, and it is still in great shape. It really is a great buy.

Used it as the infant car seat that lasts a long time because of the added weight and height requirements. My daughter now 15 months is still using it even though she is in the 98 percentile for height.
Hence, even now when I go shoppong, she sleeps in teh car seat and I just pick it up and put her in the stroller without waking her up.
This is good and for some this seat may last well upto 2 years with the new rear facing requirement upto 2 yrs.

Cons- The seat os longer and hence eats up too much of leg space in the back and my husband cannot push back his passenger seat all the way hence reducing leg space for passenger. Also we cannot indtall it behind the drivers seat for the same reason.

My baby is not due until November , so I cannot tell you how he likes it comfort wise, I am commenting on the color, online it looked as if it was blue and black but it actually turned out to be a teal and black, works great for us jacksonville jaguar fans but definitely not blue as it looks in the picture online. Still a nice looking carseat.

I love the look. I get compliments on it all the time. Not heavy.
*Only thing is I have found that it's not compatible with most shopping carts. So now I just use a carrier.
It's worth the money and I think it will hold my baby for more than 12 months. Loved it as soon as I saw it. Preemies and newborns will fit just fine the carseat has it padded in the right places to protect the head.

After researching SEVERAL infant carriers, I'm so happy I decided on this one! It looks great & has been a great seat for my son (he's 6 months old). It's very easy to take it in & out of the car, the base is easy to set up, the straps are easy to tighten & loosen and when I've had to move the straps as my son has grown, I've been able to do it very quickly. My only problem with this seat is the sunshade - it tore a little on one side, but that's so minor in comparison to how much I like about the seat. I also have the stroller frame thing for this seat & I love that too. Very easy to use & so convenient to keep in the car. I would definitely recommend purchasing this product, you won't be disappointed!

This is a great carseat. I love the side impact resistant quality of it. Also it grows with your baby. Also the stroller that goes with this is awsome. It rolls so smooth and is easy to get in and out of the car with. I would recommend both products.

We bought two of these seats in different colors and absolutely love them! We have had them for almost a year and no issues like those reported by the previous person. The seat bases are thin enough that we were able to safely and securely install them side-by-side in the backseat of our car. They are great for tiny babies and grow with the kids well. I'm expecting to be able to use these till our twins are 2 because of the great height and weight limits. I would say that the sun shade never seems to be good enough to block out the sun all the way, but I don't know if any other car seats are better at this. OVerall a great product, we are pleased with our purchase and investment in these seats and would definitely do it again. Great seat that is safe and comfortable for our twins.
