We have this crib at our house for our Granddaughter, she sleeps here 3 nights per week and has been using it since she was 4 mos old when we took her out of her bassinet. She is now a year and a half and I need to lower to lowest setting now. It is safe, she moves around during the night and there is no chance of getting stuck between mattress and crib.
Things that are not so great....
Changing a sheet.... VERY HARD you have to stand the mattress up because it is so tight in the crib there is no room to put the sheet on. Along with that is I am 5'2" and cannot reach that far down anyway so the only way I can reach it is to stand it up.
PRoduct suggestion....
Being 5'2" I have trouble placing her in the crib on the middle height, we have not put it at it's lowest yet. I understand why they got rid of the drop sides but there needs to be a new safe design. The drops were there for a reason, people like me cannot reach the mattress when it was not lowered. Maybe a quarter of the side rail that folds out then down for when you need to put baby down or change the sheet. Surely I am not the only short person who has problems. I feel bad for those shorter than I. I will have to convert it when I have to put to lowest position because I will not be able to put her down or lift her out if she is sleeping at lowest position. The other option would be to lower the crib itself so that space under it is not there then shorter people like me would be able to bend over the side maybe.
Yes I gave it good ratings because it is what it is for design, but there does need to be a newer design so people have options so the product is more user friendly while still being safe for baby.

Don't Buy

The cribs are not actually manufactured by Graco, so don't expect any support latter on.

Comments about Storkcraft Graco Lauren Convertible Crib - Espresso:

This is a great crib. Not only is it beautiful, but it is sturdy as well. When we ordered our bed, we got a free mattress with it and that is always great. The only thing I don't like is that for the infant height setting, it is still a little low. Being short it is hard to get our son in the crib without waking him. We haven't bought the pieces that turn it into a bed yet, but we will once we no longer need a crib.

Comments about Storkcraft Graco Lauren Convertible Crib - Espresso:

We purchased two of these cribs back in 2011 for our twins who arrived in April 2012. We just stopped using these as toddler beds for them about a week ago as they moved into twin beds. These cribs have been very durable and sturdy! They are easy to put together and take apart and switch from crib to toddler bed. We have not had any issues with these cribs. We are expecting baby #3 in May 2016 and these cribs have held up so well that we are going to re-use one for our next baby! Would highly recommend this crib!

Great crib for the price. My daughter is now 3 and still sleeps in it as a toddler bed. I think the wood could be slightly better quality because it had a few dings/flaws upon arrival but nothing too obvious so we kept it. It has held up great and I would suggest this crib to anyone looking for a lower priced crib/bed.

Do not buy this product, it doesn't change into a full size bed as noted by Graco. I tried two metal frames and they don't work.

Comments about Storkcraft Graco Lauren Convertible Crib - Espresso:

We bought this crib intending to use it through the toddler bed stage. So far, it has served us well. Our son is 6 months old and almost ready for it to be lowered to the lowest infant setting. It was easy to assemble, mostly done by one person until the final step of matching up and attaching the front piece. Our mattress fits snugly enough to be safe while making sheet changes relatively easy. We do not have bumpers on the slats, and the little one has not had any problems being scraped or bumped though he always ends up rolling in his sleep to be right up against them. It is light enough for me to scoot it forward on the carpet without lifting it to plug in lamp and monitor cords below/behind it, though it is completely stable when baby is in it. Overall, it's an affordable and functional product.
