I received the Star Wars Zero Gravity Tie Fighter free from BzzAgent in exchange for an honest review. As Star Wars fans, the entire family was very excited to receive this toy. The packaging was okay -- nothing that would catch my eye if it were sitting on a shelf but at least the item was not difficult to remove from the box. However, we quickly learned that we needed 6 AA batteries which were not included. Once the batteries were in, we needed to wait almost an hour before using the toy since the Tie Fighter vehicle needed to plug into the remote and charge for a bit prior to using. Getting kids to wait for the toy to charge was a challenge...

After an hour of patiently waiting, we were ready to play! Unlike most other remote controlled toys, the Tie Fighter does not work well on the floor (hardwood and tile) which was rather disappointing. However, it was PHENOMENAL on the two-story large wall that we have in the Family Room. We don't have many decorations on the wall, so there was little worry about the kids damaging or breaking anything once the Tie Fighter was zooming up and down and all around. If we did have paintings/pictures on the wall, I doubt that I would have been so easy-going about the kids playing with this on the wall. This is the first remote controlled toy that actually zooms around on walls which was very fun to watch and play! The biggest initial problem was that the "charge" only lasted about 30 minutes of run time before the remote needed to be plugged back into the vehicle. More waiting.... :(

The controls are easy to use, even for our 6 year old. It seems durable and hasn't broken yet. It's not a quiet toy, because it sounds like a vacuum running. It also came with stickers, but the kids were much more interested in the toy and forgot about using them. This very likely would not be quite as fun if you only have a small amount of wall space.

I received the Air Hogs Star Wars Remote Control Zero Gravity TIE Advance X1 free of charge from BzzAgent in exchange for an honest review. I was super excited to get this product because A) Star Wars B) remote control & C) ZERO GRAVITY!!!
Straight away this thing looks sweet. I was a little skeptical because the plastic is thin and flexible, think high-school gymnast flexible, but it totally stands up to the bumps and crashes that occur. But it looks cool and the kids immediately want to play with it, but they can't because you have to first hunt down 6AA batteries (Yes, SIX!!!) and THEN you have to charge the thing up.

The first thing you'll notice once it's charged and ready to go is that this sucker is LOUD. You need a pretty good sized section of smooth wall to fly it on. If you have any type of texture on the walls, please don't waste your money, it won't work. I wasn't able to test this out on my ceilings due to the texture. The major downside is that the batteries run down really quickly. It honestly takes more charge time than what you get to play. Major bummer.

Got this through bzzagent. My kids (boys 7 and 9) were very excited and couldn't wait to try it. We put the batteries in and charged it up. It is very lightweight hence it being able to move on walls and ceilings. After charging we put it to the test. The kids loved that it went great on the walls and ceiling. However, it couldn't transition from one to the other. Kind of a bummer. Tried the floors both wood and tiled and it didn't work so well. It lost its charge pretty quick. The novelty wore off pretty quickly. Not enough bang for your buck!

Pretty Cool!!!

Comments about Spin Master 1001130 Air Hogs Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens Remote Control Zero Gravity TIE Advance X1:

I was chosen to give an honest review for this product from BzzAgent.
I have an 8 year old son who was so excited about the Star Wars Air Hog Zero Gravity remote control Tie Fighter.
In all honesty, it did not work on our ceiling at all. That could be because of the texture. It drove smooth on the hard wood floors and on the glass windows we have in our home. The controller took 6 batteries, which didn't bother me because it charges the vehicle too. The wheels rev up and make lots of noise, but it just adds to the special effects. Even my husband had to have a turn to play with it! Overall, I would recommend this to friends and family. I know my family has been enjoying it.

I received the Air Hogs, Star Wars Zero Gravity Tie Advancer X1 Fighter from BzzAgent to test and review. My son and I were looking forward to receiving this toy, when we got it, my son could not wait until I got home to open the box and play with it. When I got home it was back in the box in the corner of the room. When I asked him if he liked it, he said it was okay, but he got bored quick. Easy to follow directions, but he said it didn't work so well on certain surfaces and kept falling off. Well it fell of his interest as well. It takes up so many batteries, I can already see myself spending alot of money just on batteries alone. Overall, cool little toy, just did not hold my son's interest too long.

Comments about Spin Master 1001130 Air Hogs Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens Remote Control Zero Gravity TIE Advance X1:

What a great idea for Star Wars fans. I was excited to share this toy with my eight year old son who loves gadgets, Star Wars, remote control everything, and more. When bzzagent offered to send this to me for free in exchange for an honest review, it was a golden opportunity. What's not to like?
First off, be prepared to buy some batteries! 6 AA not included. Then, wait a bit because you need to figure out how to charge it. Those tiny things out of the way, and we were ready to see some action! This Zero Gravity toy is supposed to zoom across walls and even get to fly across the ceiling!
We have textured walls, so that was a bust. It was loudly trying to move but it sure was tough for the thing. So we figured it's our fault for having textured walls because it would only travel about an inch. It was pretty good doing circles on the floor. And while it went in circles pretty good it could not go up any walls so the claim regarding zero gravity is false. It works on the floor somewhat but seems like the design of the wheels was marring the performance so that wasn't a win either. A plus is the dogs were wondering what the heck the noise was that was coming from this little thing, and we enjoyed their goofy reactions.
The box indicated "wall racer technology" and states it speeds across walls and ceilings. All these statements are untrue.
Asking my son what was good about this product, his response was, "I guess....not much." He agrees with the two star rating because saying I hate something is harsh for a free product from bzzagent, but this was definitely a thumbs down/dud.
The toy comes with wall clings which were identical to the others provided in another similar toy. I really wouldn't say this was a toy that's worth the money.

I received the Star Wars Zero Gravity Tie Fight free through BzzAgent. I am a huge Star Wars fan and was so excited to try this out with my 3 boys, ages 11, 9, and 7. When it came in the mail, I could hardly wait to rip it open and get going. However, you must put batteries in the remote first and plug in the fighter to charge. Ok, I can wait an hour....that's fine. When it was fully charged, we gave it a try. As much as I wanted to love this toy, we were very disappointed. Our walls of the house are textured and the fighter would not climb or move at all for that matter. We tried our hardwood floor and it didn't want to move there either. The only place we could get it to work was on our sliding glass door. It did work as expected here, without the awesomeness of crawling across the ceiling, quite well. However, because of how limited of a space the kids had to play, they soon became bored. And to be honest, they haven't asked to play with it again. This would be a great toy if it wasn't so limited to where it can be used.

I received the Air Hogs Star Wars Remote Controlled Tie Fighter for free from Bzzz Agent. My sons were excited to try out this product. On the smooth floor, it works great! They loved chasing people or things with the toy. On the walls and ceiling, we could never make it work. It would not stay on the wall for anything. Perhaps it is just the texture on the wall, however, it was disappointing.

    Mixed review from our house

About Me Parent of Two or More Children, Stay at Home Parent

Comments about Spin Master 1001130 Air Hogs Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens Remote Control Zero Gravity TIE Advance X1:

Mixed review... I have two boys who share this toy, and one thinks it's fantastic, the other one is a little less than impressed. Obviously one of the features of this toy is it's wall and ceiling driving ability. It's the feature both of my boys were most excited about. However, we find that it does not drive on the wall very well, and so far we have been unable to get it to stay on the ceiling. These are your standard flat textured drywall walls and ceilings... nothing out of the ordinary. This was highly disappointing to my 11 year old. That said, my 9 year old is still enjoying it... driving it around on the hardwood floor, using it to push around various other things laying around on the floor (his baby sister leaves plenty of stuff out for him to experiment with). My older son doesn't really enjoy driving it on the floor even, he says he does not drive straight very well. This doesn't seem to bother my younger son. All in all it's an okay toy, but if you are spending this much for a toy that is supposed to drive on the ceiling, you may be disappointed. It could just be our ceiling, but honestly I'm always skeptical about this kind of thing working, so I wasn't surprised. We're still enjoying it, but for the price tag, wish it would do more.

Comments about Spin Master 1001130 Air Hogs Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens Remote Control Zero Gravity TIE Advance X1:

Big Star Wars fan, this is a relatively obscure ship in the Imperial Fleet, making it more of a niche collectors item, than say, the Millenium Falcon or Slave-1... but still really cool looking. They did a good job with the design, and it is a super light-weight plastic build that at first seems cheap, but there is a reason for it to be soft and flexible... this thing will careen off the wall and on to the floor at the slightest provocation. It can stand the abuse however, as after 10+ crashes, it is still in good shape.

It uses a high powered suction engine to keep it attached to a surface. Could not try it on the ceiling as we have that plaster stipling, but on the wall, it did pretty well. Bump into anything, and it is going to fly off the wall. Run over an uneven spot, same thing. We have a large 12ft square section of wall to play on, and it was pretty entertaining, for the short time the charge held out. 6 AAA batteries in the base required to charge for about a half an hour to get any play time at all. This is typical of an Air Hogs toy, as we have several, so expecting that, we got what fun we could out of it.

This one is pretty safe compared to some of the other AirHogs devices, as there are no spinning blades to catch a finger, and if (when!) it falls off the wall, I cannot imagine it hurting anyone since it is so lightweight. At the end of the day, it is a cool piece of old school Star Wars gear to have, and set up for display. As a kids toy, its an afternoon of entertainment, maybe two... then put it back on the shelf with your other Star Wars pieces to show off.

Comments about Spin Master 1001130 Air Hogs Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens Remote Control Zero Gravity TIE Advance X1:

Thanks to BzzAgent, I recently tried out the Air Hog Star Wars Zero Gravity Tie Fighter. I was really excited to receive this as we are big time Star Wars fans. As soon as we realized it takes 6 batteries (that were not included) and that it has to charge we were a little disappointed. unfortunately our disappointment didn't stop there. The box stated that it runs up walls and on ceilings in which the walls were the only place we were able to get it to perform somewhat well on out of the two. It worked well on carpet but not on tile or hardwood flooring. In my opinion this is not worth the buy. It doesn't perform anything like it says it would. I would not recommend this to anyone. I am a BzzAgent and received this free product in exchange for a review.
