Comments about Educational Insights Hoppy Floppy's Happy Hunt Game:

As an Educational Insights EI Insider, my girls occasionally receive new products for review, and this is one of them...

I wish we'd found this game during the Spring - or at Easter time. It definitely makes us think of spring, with its cheerful color palette and rabbit-centric game play.

It's so simple, yet kids love it. It's also so small and self-contained that I love it - quick to pick-up, and easy to store.

Little ones ages 3+ can gather 'round with 2-4 players, each taking turns on the spinner with hopes of becoming the first player to collect four different colors of carrots to place in their basket.

Get "dump your basket," and you start back from scratch... while the other rabbits invade your patch!

My girls ages 7 and 3 really love playing this game together. It's hard to find a game that can entertain them both and that my 3 year old understands and wants to play, she loves that she can actually beat her sister!

Comments about Educational Insights Hoppy Floppy's Happy Hunt Game:

I love this game for what it is- a small, contained, easily carried and stored, simple but thrilling game for a young child- and it's a GREAT game for a child with motor issues, as my three-year-old son has.

My son has difficulty with tasks most of his peers can do, and receives occupational therapy for things like cutting, mimicking simple drawings or holding pens/tools, and orientation of his hands. This game has been something we've come to use almost every night as it challenges him to pick up the tiny (sometimes slippery!) carrots with the bunny tweezers and transport them to the basket. He loves to flick and spin the spinner, and count everyone's pieces. He's a bit young to fully get the rules so in the beginning we played just to pick them all up- but he's having fun, so it doesn't matter.

We like that all the pieces stay IN THE BOX for the game, and the box itself is pretty small so we can easily store it in the sideboard in our dining room and it doesn't take up a lot of room. We have gotten in the habit of one of us playing with him while the other parent makes dinner or starts cleaning up the kitchen. It's great for a quick game and effective therapy.

As a bonus, my son loves the little baskets. He gives them to his stuffed animals, or uses them to transport other objects, even little mini cookies, to them. He also used it when he saw we were using a basket for gathering very small tomatoes. He also likes to "plant" the carrots in his sensory bean bin, and then pick them, pretending he is a farmer.

For the price and size, it's a simple, entertaining, effective and fun game that we have consistenly since we have gotten it, and will be in heavy rotation for a long time to come. Very pleased!

What a perfect spring themed game! Hoppy Floppy is easy to play and even easier to clean and store (THANK GOODNESS). All the pieces are played and stored in the egg shaped container. When your kiddos are finished, simply place all items in the box close the lid and your done! The game is simple enough for kids to explain to new players, but engaging enough to keep playing over and over again! Thanks EI!

Great fine motor game for my child! We've played it a number of times. I just wish the box were a bit larger but otherwise it is so great! The bunny pinchers are the perfect size and the carrots make it a challenge, especially for those that are working on perfecting fine motor skills!

Comments about Educational Insights Hoppy Floppy's Happy Hunt Game:

This was a cute game, with simple enough instructions for a 3 year old. She likes it a lot, but gets frustrated with trying to use the bunny to squeeze and pick up her carrots. She just turned 3, though, and hasn't had a lot of practice with it, so I'm sure she will get better with time :)

Everything fits right in the box, so it's easy to take along when traveling too.

Comments about Educational Insights Hoppy Floppy's Happy Hunt Game:

Hoppy Floppy's Happy Hunt game is a simple game of spinning the spinner and follow the instructions while filling your basket with colored carrots. The concept is somewhat similar to some other games my son and I have played, but it adds in a chance to work on fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

First, you spin the wheel. You may land on a color, or on a picture that gives special instructions. Landing on a color means you use the bunny to pick up that color carrot that is scattered in the forest printed in the box. You squeeze the bunny to pick up carrots, working on fine-motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Then you put the carrot in your basket. You need to collect one of each color carrot to win the game.

If you already have the color you landed on, you skip your turn. The pictures on the spinner may cause you to spill all the carrots in your basket, having to start over. Or you may land on a picture allowing you to take any color carrot from another player's basket. Or there is a picture that causes you to lose your turn. There is also a multi-colored option on the spinner which allows you to choose any color carrot from the box.

My son and I have had a lot of fun playing this game. Davey had a little difficulty squeezing the bunny and picking up the carrots, and started to get a little frustrated, but the more he practiced the better he got at it. I believe this is due to his autism though, and in general most kids ages 3 and up would have very little difficulty with this game.
