Comments about Educational Insights Read My List!:

Read My List is a fast paced, educational game, for ages eight and older. Adults will enjoy playing this game on family game night.
There are different levels, blue easy, red harder.
There are different types of cards as well: Name the Category, Lightning Round, and List cards.
This game will get your kids laughing and having fun all while learning. Something I love to see.
The cards are durable and the game is compact so it is easy to bring as a travel game as well.

Comments about Educational Insights Read My List!:

Read My List is an exciting thinking game for all age groups. It challenges my kids both 5 yrs and 9 yrs to add or recall from the list or category it also challenges the kids to think quickly in the lightning round and in my opinion this helps in real life. I love the fact that the kids are learning while having fun and they don't even realize it.

Comments about Educational Insights Read My List!:

We got "READ MY LIST" as a present and I was a little skeptical at first that this game may be too advanced for my 8 year old. We did not even read the instruction all the way and just started playing our "own game" .
My kids loved it (8 & 10) and as a mother I love that they get to write and read beyond what they are suppose for school ; ).
The packaging is compact and reduced to the minimum required to play and store the cards. The design of the box and cards is fun and fresh and happy. The font easy and clear to read for kids. Maybe a little to playfull for the adult player, but they will realize soon that they can get challenged by the content of the game as well.
The reason why I only gave it 4 instead of the well deserved 5 stars is, that it would be great if a mini time keeper (hour glass?) would be included in the box.
I would definitely recommend "READ MY LIST" to a friend.

Comments about Educational Insights Read My List!:

My 10 year old daughter had a lot of fun playing this game. I am amazed at how quickly her brain works. I'm not that old but my brain is so sad compared to hers. Ha ha! I struggled a bit playing this game but it wasn't the game's fault. :) This game will definitely help me sharpen my memory and my listening skills.

There are 3 different types of cards (Name the Category, Lightning Round, and List). Each card has 2 different levels (blue is easy and red is more challenging). The Name the Category round was my favorite. The reader lists the 10 items and the other players have to guess the category. The winner gets 1 point. My husband and daughter were amazing with the List category. They have great listening skills and memories. I have neither. Ha! The reader reads the category and 10 items out loud. The other players have to list 3 additional items that were not already read out loud. Sounds easy but it's more challenging than you think. The winner gets 1 point. The Lightning Round is very fast paced and everyone gets to play, including the reader. The reader reads the category out loud and then everyone says an item in that category and it keeps going around the circle until someone is stuck. There is a time limit set for each player's answer and it goes fast. So you have to think quick, have good listening skills and a good memory to make sure you don't say something that's already been said. All players, except for the one who got stuck, gets 1 point. The first person with 5 points wins the game.

This would be a great game to take with you on the go, like in the car or at a restaurant while you are waiting for your food. The cards are very durable and visually appealing.

I wish the instructions were a little clearer on how to set up the game. I was a little confused on whether or not the cards should be shuffled or if the cards should stay separated in their categories. We ended up shuffling them, placing them back in the box and then choosing a card randomly. It's a fun game either way. :)

Comments about Educational Insights Read My List!:

Read My List is a game that reminds me of the games shows Family Feud and Pyramid. There are various cards with Lists and Categories and you have to answer them quickly. It is a great game for quick-thinking and team playing. The List cards have you name off 3 or more things that are found at the card, for example the card may say "Cheeses" and the player has to come up with 3 or more cheeses. Category cards say a bunch of things and you have to guess what they are belong to. Now some of the things may be hard for younger kids, but then you just move on. I mean my 8 year old couldn't name three cheeses, so we pick a different card. It is really a fun game that everyone (ages 8 and up recommended) can play. All the cards then store nicely in a sturdy cardboard box, no additional pieces.

I received this product in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

Comments about Educational Insights Read My List!:

I have a couple of game loving kiddos in my house! They could play games for hours and it's such a nice change to see them playing an actual game that doesn't have a screen attached to it like Read My List! Even better, they are learning and challenging those brains of theirs!

The game is pretty simple to play but at the same time, quite challenging! I really saw their brains working hard on this one. It's for ages 8+ and while my seven year old did really well; it was a little too much for my six year old. She's also easily frustrated and likes to take her time with things so this wasn't the best game for her.

It's been a lot of fun for me and Reed to play together though! You can play with three players or more so he tries to get everyone to play with him and loves it!

I learned a lot about playing this game, especially about his memory! One one option, you listen to a list and try to remember everything you heard. I was shocked at how much this little boys brain retains. A lot more than his mama; that's for sure!

This game requires quick thinking, a great memory and will challenge their critical thinking skills. Read My List! is a lot of fun and a great brain exerciser!
