In order to keep my thoughts about this set from reaching book status, I will refrain from all my thoughts, and give you the Cliff Notes.

What a great build! I have never been into the Ninjago series, but as soon as I saw this on the upcoming sets, I started saving. I have a giant city center created with my modulars, and thought this set would be a great whimsical addition! It looks awesome as the center of my modern city! The set itself was a fun build, pretty challenging, with some really neat new features. I really like the new ninjas! I have a few of the old ones, but these are just too cool. I love the light-up brick in the set, it looks super cool! In my opinion, the detail on the trees in what sticks out the most to me! I love the fall look of the trees, with leafs on the roof, and the water as well. I love how tall it is! Sometimes you build a set and wish it was a little bigger, but not the case on this one! Very tall and detailed! I actually have to keep the tip of the tower off while it is displayed!

I think this is a must have for any LEGO fan, no matter if you are into Ninjago or not. LEGO has done a great job with the new Ninjago series, and I plan on purchasing more. Happy building!

Horrible building experience, particularly with the base of the temple. The building instructions for the base of the temple are not well designed with enough supports to keep all the pieces together. I tried adding more supports to the base first with no success. I ended up having to Kragle (super glue) the pieces together to keep from having to throw the whole thing out because it would not stay together. Which of course led to a meltdown from my son who takes the no Kragle of legos very seriously since The Lego Movie. If I had known what I know now, before I bought the set, I wouldn't have bought it. Its not worth my little one crying, screaming, & trying to pull his hair out because the set won't stay together & then his anxiety over watching me permanently glue pieces together (just the base part).

    Greatest Ninjago Set yet

    By SFBrick

    from Undisclosed

Comments about LEGO Ninjago Temple Of Airjitzu (70751):

This is not only a great display set, but also a good play set. What really attracted me to this set at first was not only the range of great pieces (including some rare colours; such as lime green, and sand green, but also some great printed elements; like the rice paper style sliding doors and numerous windows). The designer was also able to integrate some really nice features such as the spinning shadow theatre. This set also includes a large range of minifigures, of which 6 are exclusive for this set only. I think LEGO has done a wondefull job with this set, and am hoping to find more sets like this in the future.

"As Iron Sharpens Iron, Sensei Sharpens Student"

Comments about LEGO Ninjago Temple Of Airjitzu (70751):

This set has loads of characters that I have been hoping to get for a while. Misako (Lloyd's mom and exclusive!), Dareth(Owner of a dojo that trains Lloyd and exclusive!) and Postman(seen numerous times delivering mail and packages and exclusive!). This set also has a bunch of facts at the beginning of the instructions sheet. The set has a blacksmith shop(with dead rat, roof, weapons, fireplace chimney and second floor), smuggler's market( has three pieces of bread, two fish, three cookies, a sink, three apples, and some backpacks) and the temple. Now moving on to the temple itself. The temple has three floors. One the outside it has the statue of sensei yang, different windows, shadow theater, a bridge and two pairs of stairs. Now on the first floor, there's just a dining room. On the second floor there's a training room. On the third floor there's a painting room. And on the very bottom of the temple there's the shadow theater. Two thumps up! Lego you did an awesome job of this set. Keep doing great designing! Pythor 2323 out!

    SUPER FUN

Comments about LEGO Ninjago Temple Of Airjitzu (70751):

I picked this up for my son's 13th birthday...he saved up most of the cost and I covered the rest as his gift. He had it together in 4 hours or less. He and his siblings have played with it ever since. He found an illogical part of the build that made it a bit unstable, so he modified it and has had no difficulties playing with it. He intends on using it for stop motion as well. Fun set with exclusive items that make it extra special.

    Can't stop fiddling with this...

    By BentWright

    from Oakland

Comments about LEGO Ninjago Temple Of Airjitzu (70751):

Even after I finished the instructions, I can't stop building/modifying this set. In fact, in between the time I made the photos and writing the review, I've spent about 45 more minutes modifying Jasper's market. Every time I look at it, I see more things I want to do, so the play keeps going. That being said, the set is fragile and the side buildings are hard to get into. I have a hard time manipulating anything without knocking off parts. (tree branches, swap grass, Yang statue, temple rail, etc), so I have a hard time imagining someone being able to pretend-play with the figures and set without constantly knocking parts off. There an many nifty details in the set that I hope are plot points in the next television season of Ninjago. Aside from the figures and frosted windows/panels, all the graphics are stickers. Fifteen stickers total. I don't care for stickers because i don't like putting them on, and they never wear or age well. I would love it if translations were included for all the Japanese writing on the graphics. I can't imagine it would be much more expensive to include that on the sticker sheet or on the instructions, or maybe include a QR code to a website to accommodate translations into multiple languages. In addition to the instructions, the book contains ten pages of interesting lore/content repeated in three different languages. (so there is/was plenty of room to include information about the writing on the graphics) Color matching for additional building has been a challenge--Especially the blue walls of the smithy. All in all, living long enough to have bricks in older colors that don't quite match the new colors is a great problem to have. Three shades of light blue, not so much.
