... actually, less than 2 hours. I spent another 20 minutes reading the details in the very helpful guide. As as teacher of Social Sciences, I use these things in class. I had great fun putting it together. The diverse architectural styles kept me entertained. The finished product is a sleek, professional looking piece which I can proudly display. I think that the city skyscape series is beautiful. I can't wait to build Venice, and I hope that you (Lego Architecture creators) produce Moscow, Dubai and Barcelona soon! Just a wish.... The only thing is ... this really is not for young children, unless they have a particular fascination with architecture. Well done! I look forward to moving on to Venice.

Well, it's good these are less expensive than most of the other architecture series. But, after building five of the larger architecture series, for me, this new concept is not as wonderful. These are like a combination of the architecture designs and other Legos. It was so fun to build on the big, well-designed, detailed, Lego interpretations of famous architectural landmarks. When you are finished with each one, you have a better understanding of how it was constructed and what its historical meaning is. And it is usually makes a very nice piece to display. These little ones, combined with other buildings, and not as detailed, are just not as special. I hope you will not stop making the big ones, even though they are more expensive.

Least favourite

By Gofree50

from Dublin

Comments about LEGO Architecture Berlin (21027):

Having collected and built all of the architecture sets to date this is my least favourite. I think if the telecom tower was left out it would be better. The tower just takes away from the rest. It also doesn't help that you end up pointing out to people the sections of the Berlin Wall. I do however like the different building techniques.

A Return to Lovely & Straight-Forward Lego Design

By jkeir

from Houston

Comments about LEGO Architecture Berlin (21027):

For old-school Lego builders, these Architecture sets are a welcome return to the spirit of Lego design in the 1960s and 1970s: solid, simple, compact, and straightforward; they aren't the loud and frantic and over-literal building themes otherwise populating the Lego products trying to grab the over-stimulated attentions of today's children. These are thoughtful, intelligent sets (and a balm for the soul of any child that might be encouraged to choose them over, say, Ninjago.) I highly recommend and applaud this lovely set, and I greatly hope that Lego will find means to market more of these lovely skyline sets.

Ich bin Berliner

By RichardUK

from Nottinghamshire

Comments about LEGO Architecture Berlin (21027):

This is my first Lego Architecture set but it defiantly won't be my last! the skyline sets are a fantastic idea, the Berlin set is instantly recognizable as being Berlin, all the building look fantastic but I partially love the Reichstag and TV Tower, I have ordered the other two sets in the skyline range (New York and Venice) so I am looking forward to building those as well,

A finely built city

By Bricksterpiece

from Liverpool

Comments about LEGO Architecture Berlin (21027):

I purchased this model for myself, after having not built a good LEGO model since Christmas. I must say, building it brought me back to when I first went to Berlin in 2012. The miniaturised landmarks of Berlin were very well recreated in this fine diorama; perfect for the desk or for a display cabinet. The attention to detail was very nice, with the pieces representing the Berlin Wall dotted sparingly throughout the set. The only problem I had was rating this model. Its not really a play experience, so I rated it average. That does not accurately represent my views on this. I would highly recommend it. I'd also recommend the TV Tower get its own set down the line.

I had a lot of fun building this set! I never realized how small this set really was until I finished building it, but nonetheless, it's a very good size to put on my bookshelf. I can't wait to collect the rest of the Architecture set!

Interesting Slant

By PhilC

from Chester-le-Street

Comments about LEGO Architecture Berlin (21027):

As a great fan of the architecture theme I was very interested to see what the cityscape style architecture build would look like. And whilst it doesn't allow much detail within the build it does give the designer a chance to show more of the area to the builder. Though I still prefer the single building style of the Achitecture theme, I did really enjoy doing the cityscape and hope to see more of these in the future of many cities throughout the world on a variety of continents.

Good idea, nice execution.

By Legocanine

from NYC

Comments about LEGO Architecture Berlin (21027):

To me, these 'cityscapes' are almost a sub theme of the archetecture product line. While no one building in these cityscapes has a detailed build, the product as a whole gives one a nice, accurate representation of the city's most famous landmarks. Easy build, nice display piece along with the other cityscape sets.
