Boasting 27 different seating positions complete with Quick Connect, the Modes Duo Stroller has been an essential addition to our adventures. The stroller is supplied with two toddler seats, the bench seat, and standing platform for a variety of choices in use. My twins are 35 inches tall and 29 (13.1kg) pounds, easily meeting the 50 (22.7kg) pound weight limit for all the seating positions. The black and white design of the stroller canopy and cloth seating covers is an excellent gender neutral option. The seats are gently padded and extremely soft black breathable material with soft grey piping accent. Each toddler bucket seat has three positions for the shoulder harness that is easy to adjust as the child grows to meet the 45 inch (114.3cm) height requirement. Each seat also has a recline option adjustable with a snapping buckle and 4.5 inches of nylon webbing. The seat fully reclines to approximately a 45 degree angle for a semi-recumbent sleeping position. I found the weight of the stroller to be similar to other in line double strollers. Changing the position of the toddler buckets is simple, a thumb lock pressed gently unlocks the seat buckets permitting quick changes to any of the eligible positions. Likewise the use of infant bucket seats with the Click Connect feature is the same as applying and removing the infant seat from the car seat base with the red latch at the back of the seat. The bench seat is unpadded plastic making it an easy clean of any messy spills. Seated position on the bench seat is kept safe with a three point seat restraint. The same connectors for the infant bucket and toddler bucket seats transition into a set of hand grips for the bench seat by gently pulling the connector away from the stroller body and twisting. Mixed seating options include use of two infant buckets facing away or toward the operator, facing each other, or one facing out and the other facing the operator. The same positions are available for the toddler bucket seats. Using a single infant bucket with a toddler bucket allows the growing family to accommodate both children. The use of an infant or toddler bucket seat facing out or toward the operator in the front position allows an older child to sit on the bench seat facing the operator of the stroller. Likewise an infant or toddler seat facing out or toward the operator allows an older child to stand on the standing platform facing away from the operator. The toddler buckets also fold flat for storage and allow the stroller to collapse flat for transport or storage. Collapsing the stroller with the toddler buckets both facing outward is easy so they need not be removed from the stroller for transport. I have, however, found the collapsed height of the stroller with the buckets installed to be 24 inches tall versus 12.5 inches tall without the buckets installed. The collapsed length of the stroller is 36 inches long allowing it to fit inside the trunk of a compact car. The collapsing mechanism is a one handed operation, sliding a button on the handle and a small twist engages the collapse function. When collapsed the stroller has a pressure lock on one side, clicking when engaged. To open the stroller from collapsed position a small amount of pressure is applied to the stroller body and the pressure lock is disengaged for full opening. I would recommend applying the foot brake prior to collapsing as it makes reopening the stroller easier when the rear wheels are locked. The front wheels are large 7.5 inch swivel wheels with locking options. There are two sets of rear wheels, one set of 3.5 inch swivel wheels and a set of 8 inch stationary wheels. This combination gives the stroller excellent maneuverability for the size. Corners are easily navigated with one hand push action. The wheels are designed for flat terrain such as sidewalks, asphalt, and graded flat dirt roads. The storage basket is flexible nylon and runs the length of the stroller at 30 inches long and tapered at 12.5 inches tall at the deepest point of the basket. While the baskets have several snaps, it cannot be removed from the stroller for cleaning. There are a total of five cup holders on the stroller, three of which are removable, the other two stationary on a center bar dividing the two seating positions. Two of the removable cup holders are on the toddler tray adapters for the toddler bucket. The trays feature a bar running the width of the seat and a cup holder but does not have activity or eating space. While I did receive the Modes Duo Stroller at no cost for product testing, the opinions expressed in this review are my own. For future releases on this stroller I would love to see additional accessories available for purchase such as a tray table with cup holder and activity table for the toddler bucket seats and toy attachment bar for babies. The canopies on the stroller system are removable and the option to upgrade to different colors as well as mesh canopy options for warm and hot weather would allow end user customization. Assembly of the stroller was extremely easy and the option to have wheel upgrades to all terrain tires would allow adaptability to outdoor recreation. The seat covers for the toddler bucket seats are currently fixed on the system, upgrading these to removable seat covers would allow easy cleaning of messy spills such as diaper blowouts. The ability to remove the center bar would allow full recline of the toddler bucket seat in the rear seat position when facing the operator. The foot rest is currently in a fixed length position which does not accommodate children with longer legs. Adding snap locks for extension would allow adaptability as the toddlers grow into older children. The foot rest moves up for folding and stowing when the toddler buckets are not in use. The ability to utilize this as a positional lock would accommodate a sleeping toddler's legs and ease of use for medically complex children in need of additional leg support.

I didn't realize this is not compatible with the Snugride Classic Connect car seat. I made the mistake of assuming the snugride classic connect is the same as the Snugride Click Connect due to the name similarities. I feel Graco should have made the compatibility more clear. Also this product is very heavy. Most mothers will struggle getting this in and out of the car.

This stroller is an excellent investment. It will last for so long with two. I use it now with the car seat for the newborn and the toddler in the modes seat. I love that I'll be able to use the bench and standing seat for when the toddler is bigger. This stroller is truly worth the investment

Comments about Graco® Modes Duo Double Stroller - Holt:

I was able to easily put it together quickly. It is pretty easy to maneuver considering it's size. Seats are easy to take on and off. I like all the cup holders for the children but they do seem small for most children's cups. The parent cup holder does not stay attached when there is a cup in it. The stroller is heavy to lift but easily opened . Overall it what I expected from a double stroller of its kind. Something a little lighter weight would be nice though. I would buy it again.

Comments about Graco® Modes Duo Double Stroller - Holt:

I purchased this stroller for my second child which is due in a few days. I got it home, assembled it, spent two hours trying to get my snugride 30 to connect to it, to finally realize that the snugride 30 quick connect isn't the same as the classic connect. I specifically checked my base to ensure compatibility before ordering and all my base said is snugride 30, so I assumed it was compatible. Very irritated. Thai description should be more clear.

Too small for my 1 1/2 year old

Comments about Graco® Modes Duo Double Stroller - Holt:

I bought this stroller for my 1 1/2 year old daughter and my infant daughter because it looked amazing. It wasn't available to try in a store near us, but the description said that the seats were able to hold up to 50lbs. Unfortunately, my 1 1/2 year old daughter who was almost 36 inches and 30 lbs could not fit in the seat. Her legs were far beyond the foot rest and her head touched the canopy, causing her to have to bend her neck. She was unable to comfortably sit in it and we had to return it, which was very disappointing.

      Absolutely fabulous

      By Lauren

Comments about Graco® Modes Duo Double Stroller - Holt:

What a fabulous stroller. I have had 2 sit n stand models, 2 contours options models and this buggy is THE best hands down. Set up is literally a snap. (I assembled in the parking lot.) I can ONE HAND push the buggy with two kids inside! Has all the great features of the other strollers.... Versatility of the contours options, convenience of the sit and stand to grow from infant to young child.

My daughter is 55 lbs and my son is 30....Pushing them is effortless! The style is great, very nice looking, sturdy feel to seats, hoods and overall frame. Perfect for our growing family. The last buggy I will need.

The only real criticism I have is that I haven't yet found an easy way to fold and store in my trunk. It is large. Not any heavier than the contours options stroller...But very tall. I have to remove the seats to make it fit. I have a Toyota sienna minivan. This is big enough that I don't know how I would pack it with our luggage for vacation.

Still would recommend in a heart beat. Great stroller.

      So disappointed.

Comments about Graco® Modes Duo Double Stroller - Holt:

Just received our graco modes duo stroller. I wanted to love this product since we love all of graco products but I was quickly disappointed. My biggest issue with it is that my toddler BARELY fits the seats. She is only 2 and 33lbs. We specifically bought this seat because each seat was rated for 50 lbs. It doesn't have height limits on it to go by, so going by the weight limits I assumed she would fit for a good while. She only fits the seat if it is sitting straight up. The bar that forms the top of the seat hits the top of her head. If she want to lay down, she has to duck under the bar and then she is squished into the seat and cannot sit comfortably. I am so so disappointed because I really loved the options this stroller had to offer that some other seats do not have (the bench seat option) but I do not think this stroller will work for our active family. It also doesn't fold up as compact as i was hoping for and doesn't fit well in the back of my ford escape. Now I have to go through the hassle of returning this item and purchasing a new double stroller that fits us better.

Comments about Graco® Modes Duo Double Stroller - Holt:

I love how much space this stroller has. We bought it recently online as we don't have a Babies R Us near us and got it on a phenomenal sale! We have been using it for our 16 month old while we wait for our son to arrive in June. I love how many different ways you can position the seats and that it works with our click connect Snugride 30 carseat so we don't have to purchase another one. It is a little heavy and is a little tight fitting in the trunk of our 2014 Camry but we make it work (it makes sense to be that big when it accomodates 2 littles). The only issue we really had was one side of the breaks would not fully retract when you let the breaks off so we had noise from the lock barely bumping the spokes of the tires. It ended up cracking some plastic but the breaks on the other side still work so we couldn't justify paying a ton in shipping to send it back. Other than that it is great!

Comments about Graco® Modes Duo Double Stroller - Holt:

After much debate and stroller testing, I decided to purchase the Graco Duo Modes stroller and have been incredibly happy with it. I didn't want one that went up to 40lbs since we were incredibly close to that now. I also was hesitant because we have Chicco infant carrier and I couldn't find anything online about if it would fit with this stroller. At the store they also said it would only accept a Graco seat, so I just decided to purchase it and put the baby in the carrier you wear until he could use the stroller.
I had tested this stroller in the store and it was very comparable to the Contours Elite, but this stroller accepted 2 50 pound kids, so that was my determining factor.

My husband put it together in about 15-20 minutes very easily. Right off the bat our toddler wanted to test out the seat and he fit great. He was almost 2, about 32 pounds and 36in. He is currently 34 pounds and closer to 37 inches now and still fits fine. I am 5' 7" and my husband is 6'2" and it is a great height for us.

We quickly leaned that our Chicco infant carrier WOULD fit on this stroller. It is not strapped down or will not click in, but it wedges in fine for our use. There has been 1 time when the seat was tipped backwards by my toddler, but we feel it is fine if you are supervising your other children around the baby on the stroller.

The basket is accessible with both seats on, or in our case, a carseat + seat. The multi positioning functions are great. I highly recommend

This stroller has been GREAT for flat surfaces such as at the mall or shopping. We took it to the zoo and it worked fine, but was a bit bumpy. It is DEFINITELY not a stroller you want to use walking on uneven surfaces or up hill. I tried to use it in our neighborhood that has a small hill and it was too heavy. The frame is heavy, but folds up really nicely and is easy to get in and out of my 2016 Pilot. I do take the seats off so it will fold up better.
