I have used this jogger around Boston and also at my family's beach home where we have dirt/rock road and it works fantastic in both locations! This is a really smooth ride for both me and my son; it handles the inconsistency in the sidewalks really well, takes corners great and is super easy to jog with. My 12-month old son is really long and fits very well in the seat that is easy to recline if he falls asleep. It also has 2 mesh pockets on either side of the seat which I put his binki, snacks and sunglasses in for easy access and it has a great zipper pouch behind for me where I put my phone, keys etc. The storage bin underneath is also great, I love that it has a zipper cover so when we're at the park I can zip it up so our belongings are concealed, I also went to the grocery with it and was able to fit a ton of groceries underneath! All in all this is a fantastic jogger and would recommend it to city dwellers and more suburban/country dwellers!

I got a chance to try this jogger as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel and after a few runs/outings this is what I've decided I like and dislike about this stroller. Overall I think this is a decent basic jogger but nothing new. For a little bit more you could get a jogger that handles much better and has more features. Priced too high.
I love the styling, most jogging strollers are pretty boring and boxy but I like the look of this one.

Standing fold so the cover doesn't get dirty on garage floor.

Adjustable handle so my 6 ft husband and my 5' 4" self can both comfortably use.

Brake bar on handle isn't left or right sided.

Safety strap is on base so less likely to pull stroller over if you take a tumble or it runs away and is also not right or left hand specific.

One hand recline, and fairly deep recline.

Comes with cupholder attachment, not offered as add on.

HUGE canopy with additional mesh panel and rear vent/viewing panel.

Can easily remove wheels to make it more easily fit in storage or trunk.

Not actually that light! This is actually pretty average weight for jogging strollers. If you are looking for light Joovy makes a really light jogger, I don't know why this one is marked as one of the lightest.

Two handed fold and not auto locking. The fold is pretty cumbersome and takes some practice. I much prefer the Baby Jogger Summit X3 which has a one handed fold and auto lock I can do while holding my 8 month old in the other arm.

Front wheel lock is on front of wheel not handle or side of stroller which is not uncommon but a really nice feature if you like to go from running to walking back to running like I do.

The foam handle, If you live in a hot climate like myself, or your hands sweat a lot then you already may know that foam handles are the worst. They disintegrate over time and are more likely to rip or tear. I always get handles made of rubber for this reason.

The storage basket is nice but can't fit average diaper bag into.

User friendly jogger

By Running Mama

Comments about Aria Child gb X1 Urban Runner - Volt:

I have used joggers in the past and I am so happy with my new GB X1 Urban. It is so user friendly; easy to pull out of the car and refold to store again. It has great little mesh pockets in the side of the seat for my daughters snacks, cups and toys and a zipper pouch by the handle for my items. As a runner, I love the front locking/swivel wheel and how easily you can maneuver it with just one hand. The canopy is large and covers my daughter from getting too much sun as we run together yet I can easily keep an eye on her while I run. So happy with this jogger. I would definitely recomend this to parents who want an easy to use yet high quality jogger.

Solid runner- good value!

By activemom

Comments about Aria Child gb X1 Urban Runner - Volt:

I have had this stroller for almost a month, and have been so pleased! The stroller offers all the features I was hoping for in a jogging stroller, and fits the bill as a city stroller as well! It is a great value- and solves for two needs. As a tall (5'10") active mom, one of my main criteria was a handle height that wasn't too short- and this is perfect! I don't have to hunch over when I'm running like other strollers, and it is a smooth ride! It also fits in my car and fold up well, a breeze to put together at the start too. Looking forward to taking it to baby and my first 5K!

Very good jogging stroller for the money

By KatyG

from Revere, MA, United States

Comments about Aria Child gb X1 Urban Runner - Volt:

For the moderate to occasional jogger, this stroller is perfect. Firstly, the price is very reasonable. It is easy to get hung up thinking you need to spend a lot on a jogging stroller to get a good one - but this stroller proves that's just not true. Secondly, it was lightweight and tons of fun to go around the the neighborhood with. I locked the front wheel for stability - and with 10 month old, it was no problem to lift the front wheel a bit as I took corners. The hand break is responsive but does not jerk the stroller, and the leash is cleverly stowed if you don't need it. Out of the box: It was easy to set up - just have your bike pump handy to inflate the tires - and everything clicks in place. What keeps this from being an absolutely perfect stroller? It is a little hard to use as an everyday stroller because of its basket. I had a beast of a time getting my diaper bag under the seat because of a support bar. On the flip side - the cup holder was pretty nice for strolling downtown with refreshments while Christmas shopping!

Great and Comfy!

Comments about Aria Child gb X1 Urban Runner - Volt:

I absolutely love this jogger stroller! It was easy to start using right away, no extra tools or work required! I love the quality of the fabric used on the stroller, thick, durable, soft and even better, its pretty! It folds easily. We live in a small apartment and i like that it fits in a small space! Its perfect for the outskirts of town or walking around im the city. Its easy to carry because of those reasons as well! My daughter loves the seat, it is very comfortable, straps are easy to put on and take off. I love the adjustable handle since i am only 5 feet tall and my husband is much taller than i am! The ride is smooth. I love the easy maneuverability, when i am jogging it turns nicely and yhe brakes are easy to use. Theres enough storage and it comes with a cup holder as well! The only thing i dont like is that it doesnt come with a rain cover but i would be willing to purchase that seperately though.

Enjoy the ride!

Comments about Aria Child gb X1 Urban Runner - Volt:

Loving the X1 Urban Runner stroller! The design is simple and yet it has all the features you would wish to find in a stroller. You won't believe how light and easy to maneuver this stroller is, especially when the front wheel is swiveling (you can easily switch to lock it if you want). It has a very comfortable handlebar. I appreciate that when folded the stroller does not take a lot of space, this is particularly helpful if you keep the stroller in a shared area. It is great for all terrain, the flexible suspension helps the stroller to run smoothly over rocks, grass, or uneven ground. One of my favorite features it's the spacious storage basket underneath which is covered. The canopy provides a fair amount of shade and it also protects the child's face from the wind. My toddler climbs to the stroller on his own every time we say let's go for a walk/ run, he enjoys going out in it!

Lightweight and compact - great for Urban living!

By kellils

from Boston, MA, United States

Comments about Aria Child gb X1 Urban Runner - Volt:

Stroller is very light weight compared to other jogging strollers and I really like the unique suspension, which combined with large wheel diameter, is very responsive over rough terrain. Though lighter than many comparable hybrid jogging strollers, this stroller is still a tad heavy (with 3 year old) for jogging with front wheel in fixed position as its requires significant downward force on the handle to lift the front wheel to change direction. Compare to aluminum frame (non-folding) jogging strollers that are more rigid and much lighter) The folding process and size when folded are definitely superior to any other jogging stroller that I've tried. Hand brakes are a really nice touch and are not too touchy - perfect for slightly slowing the stroller on hills while running. The extendable canopy with see-through folding flap are appreciated. Under-stroller storage space is surprisingly large. I really like that cup/bottle holder came included with stroller.

Drives like a dream, bulky when folded

By Humaira

from Undisclosed

Comments about Aria Child gb X1 Urban Runner - Volt:

This stroller came almost fully assembled, all I had to do was pop in the back wheels which took less than 5 minutes. I do wish the paperwork provided explained what the items in the box were, it took me a while to figure out that the additional plastic pieces are car seat adaptors. Like some other reviewers have mentioned, the seat back came bunched up with some creases in the neck area. It doesn't look great but has not impacted my 1yo's ability to sit comfortably in the stroller so far (after having it for ~2 weeks). The harness is easy to use and the shoulder pads are nice and thick. One odd thing is that the straps to tighten/loosen the harness are at the top and hang down over the shoulders. Though this makes it really easy to tighten the harness, the placement seemed a bit odd to me and I think my 1yo will probably grab it and start chewing it at some point. The recline feature is via a strap in the back of the stroller, which I found hard to use with one hand. I had to use my shoulder to push the seat up while using both hands to tighten the strap. When the recline is all the way down, it's comfortable enough for my daughter to sleep soundly. When the seat back is all the way up, there is still some recline so the seat back does not get completely upright. We took this stroller around for 2-3 mile strolls in our urban neighborhood, to get groceries, etc. Our sidewalks are often extremely bumpy, cracked, with tree roots coming through them, etc., however with this stroller you wouldn't even notice. It drives AMAZING through our streets, even gliding effortlessly over trees and short curbs. The ride was super smooth and we could not believe how amazingly this stroller handled obstacles. These tires are amazing! It was easy for my husband to maneuver this stroller one handed but I found it a bit too heavy to do so, and the stroller kept going to the left or right when I tried to use it one handed. The brake is on the right side and easy to engage with one foot. There is also a hand brake for jogging which I did not use since I don't jog. The basket under the stroller is a good size, however the opening of the basket is very small (maybe 5-7 inches wide?) so it's tough to get larger items in/out of there. Our large diaper bag does not fit, so we've had to use our smaller diaper emergency changing bag to use when we go out with this stroller. Also, it's nearly impossible to fit a bag of groceries in here unless you take out the items and put them individually into the basket, assuming they are not wider than the 5-7 inch opening. The fold and unfold on this stroller is relatively easy to do, but does require two hands. However the lock is not automatic and needs to be engaged manually. Another plus is that the seat folds over and doesn't touch the ground, so it doesn't get dirty while folded. The wheels on this stroller are huge (probably similar issue with all jogging strollers), which is why it drives so well, but the large wheels make it challenging to get this into our Audi A4's trunk. It takes up almost 1/2 the trunk space. Also because this stroller is bulky and heavy, it's challenging to maneuver it while folded without touching the dirty wheels with your hands or on your clothes. Overall, I would recommend this stroller for urban and/or rough, uneven, bumpy terrain. It drives like butter. The cons are the difficult to access basket and bulk/weight making it hard to take in/out of the car regularly. I received this stroller for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.

It's a good one!

By AmandaJR

Comments about Aria Child gb X1 Urban Runner - Volt:

While I'm not even close to being a jogger the kids like to take turns pushing it and running with our gravel drive. Glad the tires are rubber and not plastic. As longs as the wheels are locked, it's easy to get open with one hand. The only thing I'm not pleased with is not having the height be adjustable on the shoulder straps. Because of that my 4 month old can't go in, but I fortunately have a 4yr old and 2yr old who fit comfortably. Overall I'm a happy camper when it comes to this stroller.

Lovr this Jogger!!

By caitiem

Comments about Aria Child gb X1 Urban Runner - Volt:

This is the first jogger I have owned, and I couldn't be happier! Living in a small apartment, it's compact size was key. It really does fold up quite small, and there is no complicated break down required, you just fold it. I was also very impressed by how light weight the stroller is, and how well it handles on a jog. The generous sun shade is awesome and it is a great design. I definitely recommend this jogging stroller.

Amazing Jogger!

By JPMom

from Boston, MA

Comments about Aria Child gb X1 Urban Runner - Volt:

This stroller is amazing. I've had it for almost a week now. It is easy to assemble and with common sense, you barely need the instructions to figure out how to put it together. It moves with zero resistance, and it is unbelievably lightweight. It is the perfect combination of stability, movement, and turning and is so great for running. When you increase your speed, it feels as if it becomes even more stable almost effortlessly. It handles hills and turns so well that it is as close as you can get to feeling like you aren't pushing anything at all. Compared to the BOB, which I borrowed once from a friend, it maneuvers like a dream. The space underneath the stroller is super, and you can put much more in it than my other strollers, though the bar makes it awkward to get a bag inside. The velcroed cover for the storage space is great too as it keeps rain, etc. out. It comes with a water bottle holder, which is nice. The only issue (and I believe it is necessary for safety and has to be this way) is that my son reclines back further than he likes, so we'll only use it for running, not day to day, which it too bad because it is such a great stroller with such amazing suspension, stability, smoothness to the ride. I would use it every day if it weren't for that element. We live in the city and walk everywhere and it handles sidewalks, ice, bumps, everything so well and is so lightweight in terms of carrying it up the front steps. It folds with ease for storage as well. This jogging stroller is amazing. I highly recommend it.
