When disaster strikes, Save the Children ensures the urgent needs of children are met, including creating ''Child Friendly Spaces'' within shelters to help little ones manage the stress of being evacuated. Here, toys, games and essential supplies, such as diapers, wipes and hygiene items, are distributed to provide a sense of normalcy.

Toys''R''Us, Inc. and the Toys''R''Us Children's Fund together have provided millions of dollars in product and monetary donations to aid in
Save the Children's efforts to help protect children, ensure their safety in shelters and community recovery sites, and support their emotional recovery during times of disaster.

Ways You Can Help Save the Children

Expanding on our commitment to Save the Children, Toys''R''Us has introduced a reusable bag in stores – showcasing the artwork of a young child – with $1 from the purchase of each bag benefiting Save the Children's Domestic Emergency Fund. Monies raised through this initiative will further strengthen disaster preparedness programs and relief efforts in the U.S. By purchasing this bag at your local store, you too, can help children and families during times of crisis. In conjunction with this initiative, the Toys''R''Us Children's Fund made a $100,000 donation to the Domestic Emergency Fund.

Plus, Toys''R''Us and Save the Children have created an official registry of products needed for kids when they are displaced from their homes. Please consider purchasing items from this registry to help young victims in the wake of devastating events. Your donation will ship directly to Save the Children as part of their ongoing disaster preparedness efforts.
