Fun and cute bakery
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter loves the Barbie Bakery. It’s her favorite Barbie accessory yet, and she has many. Barbie is cute as can be with her pink hair and big brown eyes. She’s a petite little thing but still fits in our other clothes. I didn’t pay close attention when picking it out so I was pleasantly surprised to learn my 6 year-old could make her own cakes with the provided dough. She loves to decorate them and start all over. It took us a bit of time to get the hang of it but overall it’s really simple, I just have to remind my daughter to clean the excess bits off when she’s done so they don’t dry up and make a mess.

Broken parts
My daughter received this set for her birthday yesterday and the handle of the bakery set was broken off so that the cakes are unable to rise. Super disappointing!

Baking made cool and cute with Barbie
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter really enjoyed playing with the Barbie bakery set, and creating little cakes and cup cakes. She found it easier to make the cakes then the actual playdoh baking set. It came with little decorating pieces which made decorating easier. She says it’s cool and cute and really likes that Barbie has pink hair.

Encourages creativity and role playing!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My girls absolutely love this Barbie play set! Even when my girls forgot to put the dough away and it dried out, it was no big deal since we already had tons of play-dog at home to use with this set. It really allows my girls’ creativity to shine. They even made a two tier cake and had other neat ideas. The toy was easy to unpackage. The only issue we’ve had with the set is the tan shelf always falls off. Not a big deal but wish they would’ve made shelfs glued on. Oh! And the Barbie stands on her own! Huge plus!

Small Parts, Good for Older Kids
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a Barbie bakery playset that was for my 6 and 7 year old. They really liked the bakery theme and liked that it came with dough to make cakes and decorate them. They also liked that the doll was a different doll, and had pink hair. They thought that the oven was cute and that it looked like the cake was rising. They did not like that the set did not come with white and or brown dough. They wanted to frost the cakes with "vanilla" frosting or make a "chocolate" cake. They also kept losing the small decorations for the cakes, which bothered me because I had to spend time trying to find them. They wound up losing one for good. The other accessories are good and have places you can place them, but the tiny decorations do not. The girls did like the playset but I have to take away one star because the pieces are just too tiny for my kids and if you are not careful, they will disappear.

Clever toy, but could be better
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Barbie Bakery Playset is half-Barbie kitchen and half-PlayDoh kitchen. It comes with a doll with pink hair (bit weird if you ask me), an oven and bakery display case combo, and about 20 tiny accessories including cake tools and decorations for your PlayDoh cakes. The oven is clever in that you put the PlayDoh in, and it shapes and forms two cakes of different sizes so that you can make a tiered cake. The doll is a bit weird in hair color and looks, and is not the Barbie my wife or sister grew up with. This is part of the "You Can Be Anything" line of Barbie toys, and I guess they are going for bake shop owner. It's a good profession, but a far cry from something STEM related. Daughter enjoys the oven, but doesn't play with the Barbie much.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter loves her new Barbie bakery set! It comes with a 12 in doll and 20 accessories. It has doh that you can put in the oven to watch it rise. They can then decorate the cake with the accessories it comes with. It also comes with a clip on that lets the doll hold the cake and accessories for more make believe fun. My daughter has been making birthday cakes for me for the last week, she’s having so much fun with it !

Perfect for both genders!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an adorable set! I am very impressed with the Barbie "You Can Be Anything" collection. Our 5 year old girl and 6 year old boy both played cooperatively with this set for 30+ minutes which is a huge win in our book! Our son wouldn't normally play Barbies with his sister, but he loved designing cakes/cupcakes and playing bakery with this set. Some of our favorite things about this Barbie set are: Barbie's pink hair, the fact that Barbie can stand on her own, the two different colors of dough, the heart indenter on the frosting tool, and the spinning cake turner on the top. The spinning cake topper was definitely a favorite since they could spin it around as they "decorated" their cakes! Lots of small pieces, but those were perfect additions to the "special order" cakes.
